Best xmas special in a while. Others may disagree if they like these being "Christmas stories", while this one was only barely that at all.

Christmas Special was fantastic. I always enjoy River Song episodes.
That was better than I expected.
Silence in the Library was one of my all time favourite episodes so this Christmas special was extra awesome in my books. Really liked how it sort of closed that loop (though I think River has more episodes to come).
I'm reeeally starting to like capaldi
Well, that episode answered my previous question, wether River knew Doctor as Capaldi.
The diagram is more like this.
Still, I wonder if they will use more of River considering her diary is full now.
I would be okay with the next series theme being about finding a way to rescue River from the Library.
That diagram is true when looking at who knows more knowledge than the other to a point. In the future, the Doctor and River have equal knowledge of each other, with the Doctor knowing slightly more since he witnessed her death.
Quick and messy reference to their timelines. The Doctors timeline is vertical in order of his episodes, and the crazy lines are where River intersects the Doctors timeline.
Spoiler: show
I held off a few days on watching this because I was not expecting much. Damn that was a good episode. My favorite Christmas episode.
Don't forget we got "The Diaries of River Song" which is River and the Eighth Doctor together. Big Finish audios.

They don't really come out that fast. 8th Doctor has 4 normal seasons, 4 seasons of Dark Eyes, 1 season of Doom Coalition, and 1 season of River at the moment. There's also other stories but they don't tie into any major plot point like these ones do. Keep in mind these aren't just someone reading a book. They're fully produced with sound effects and voice overs from all the actors themselves.

Steven Moffat will step down as Head Writer & Exec Producer after S10… Chris Chibnall to take over!
I'm pretty disappointed right now on the Dr. Who front. I know many are tired of him and say they hate him but I thought that Moffat was doing great, especially after this season. Of course, he has been the head guy for awhile so maybe it is time for a change there. Waiting until 2017 though for the next season really sucks, and I really hope its not the last of the 12th doctor.
