I'm still waiting for a point to this random traveling with a new companion. We know there's a vault, that was barely mentioned, and this last episode spent about 3 seconds on it. The ending seemed like it was just pushing for a way to get to the next episode, and yet it seems like even after this 3rd episode we still won't really get any details about the main arc of the season. It's a bit weird, usually doesn't take this long for even a small hint to be thrown out there.
In the series preview we saw both Missy and Simm's Master, but for all we know they only show up in the 2-part finale. Kind of disappointing honestly, even though I think Bill is a refreshing new start.

The Vault is definitely going to play out in the finale, but I like how it is simply just referenced quickly and then forgotten about. In previous seasons, there was always this hook/nagging reminder of the arch after every episode(Season 5 cracks, Season 6a Amy Pregnant and Not Pregnant at the same time, Season 7b Impossible Girl) that was pretty annoying, but with this season they can simply just go off and have adventures without having that hook at the end. Right now it seems as though the Doctor's adventures with Bill all take place during the time it takes Nardole to make a pot of tea and by the time they get back, they can deal with the vault.

Fuck, I'm gonna miss Capaldi, and I hope Bill sticks around for at least one more Doctor.

That was my favorite episode in a very long time. Finally what I've been waiting to get out of this new season, some context to something extra other to random adventures x.
This whole handicap thing is going to have a strong effect until Capaldi's regeneration it seems, which I think is great since there's still 7 episodes left this season.

Or it'll be like Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords where the doctor ended up erasing everything The Master had done, as if it never happened.
We'll see, can't wait for next week.
