Also, since there is no new Dr Who next week for BBC America they are re-airing Season 6 episodes so people can get caught up. Since we will be 1 week behind on BBC America, I wonder if they will do a double episode on the 4th because the episode "A Good Man Goes to War"..

    Spoiler: show
is the mid-season finale cliffhanger of a two part episode and we won't get the 2nd part until September

    So, a theory of mine.

“Not the same. Two planes, two worlds. Two cars parked in the same space. There are lots of different universes nestled inside each other. Every now and again they collide and you can step between one and the other. All the reflections have suddenly become gateways.

Ever look in a mirror and feel you’re seeing a whole other world?

Well this time it’s not an illusion.”

    - The Doctor, Curse of the Black Spot

    Spoiler: show
    The Mystery of the Mirrors

AKA The questionable S6 plot arc, as guessed by someone who probably is crazy.
    but really hopes he’s not

With the beginning quote in mind, and the knowledge of the Siren/Sick Bay Doctor in the CoTBS, we know that you can travel between alternate universes through the mirrors.

In the beginning of the Impossible Astronaut, we see the Astronaut come out of the lake and shoot the Doctor.

I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t be the only one who thought (after watching both parts of the two part opener) “Why the crap is it coming out of the lake?”

After watching CoTBS, I recognized this particular part:

Hmm. Something crossing from an alternate universe through water? I wonder! Now, think about how many mirrors we’ve seen in regards to strange things going on.

Check out the moon’’s mirrored reflection in the lake:

And at the moon in CoTBS:

    Reflected in the water!

    Other instances…

The astronaut helmet seems very reflective doesn’t it?

Check out that mirror to the right of Amy. Pretty well positioned, huh?

Same with the mirror behind the Silence. Strange, huh?

They even used the reflection of the astronaut as a promotional picture!

Here’s my personal favorite reflection instance (and probably the most crack-filled)…

The Doctor’s face is reflected in the pregnancy test screen.

There has also been a mirror reference in the two next episodes [Idris looks at herself in the quasi-TARDIS in episode 4, and Jennifer at herself in episode 5]. I wouldn't put it past Moffat to engineer something genius like this.

So my theory is that there’s two universes, two timelines that are happening and crossing over. One where Amy is pregnant, and one where she isn’t. The crazy eyepatch lady is part of the timeline where Amy IS pregnant, and she’s leaking through into the timeline where she isn’t. And that’s pretty much my thoughts. But suddenly a lot of things make sense. The code on the DW Official Website that said “The answers you seek will be found here on the Webb”… a man by the last name of Webb directed Day of the Moon and Impossible Astronaut. That’s my two cents.

    Theory #2 [Unrelated]:

I don't think the girl from the spacesuit is the Rani. Simply because apparently the rights to the character reside elsewhere and the crew isn't allowed to use it. That said...

    Spoiler: show
    Amy is River's mum.

I'll give you a minute to let that process.

...okay, Series 6 has had a lot of little hints dropped. Things said by River [I honestly can't think of anything off the top of my head at the moment], to River... and so on. It could explain why she's so connected to the Doctor, as Amy is a companion.

    Spoiler: show
To take this even further, the girl is River. Sure, we saw River's death back in Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, but she also said that The Doctor wouldn't survive what she did, either. If she's a Time Lord or quasi-Time Lord, she wouldn't have regenerated at that point. This part PROBABLY isn't what'll happen, but it's mind-blowing enough to be a possible theory.

There's the thought that the girl is Jenny--the Doctor's daughter. Don't know how that will pan out.

And LAST but definitely not least...

    Spoiler: show
It's easy to make the connection that the Flesh!Doctor is the actually the one that dies in The Impossible Astronaut. It would explain why he drives a car instead of a TARDIS, among other things.

...It just seems TOO obvious for it to be real. We'll see, I guess.

The mirror stuff is very interesting. Will be great to see how things pan out for the rest of the series.
I really want to see more of the Silence later on. I think they're one of the best aliens they've had in a while.

    And, because it's awesome:

Seems plausible due to the fact that on a certain Dr Who website, there was a rumor about

    Spoiler: show
River being Amy's daughter and something about River saying that she is sad because killed Madame Kavorian (Eyepatch lady) but it was ok because it was an aborted timeline

Midseason break is after next weeks episode "A Good Man goes to War" and we have to wait till September.
Karen Gillan said in an interview some time ago that in episode 7

    Spoiler: show

River knows it is time to reveal who she is to the doctor at the battle of demon run

'Doctor Who Showrunner Moffat Puts The Daleks In Time-Out'

Even those of you who've never seen an episode of Doctor Who are probably familiar with the Daleks, the homicidal aliens who look like pepper mills with plungers sticking out the top. They've been bedeviling The Doctor for nearly 50 years and 11 incarnations. They're also somewhat easily mocked, since they have a tendency to shriek "EXTERMINATE" in shrill voices are have proven really, really bad at conquering the universe. Also, as mentioned, they look like pepper mills with plungers sticking out the top.

Now Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has decided the poor fellows need a rest after all those decades of getting their metaphorical shorts yanked up over their equally metaphorical foreheads by The Doctor. Moffat told Radio Times magazine (as reported by The Guardian) that the iconic villains wouldn't be making any appearances on the show for a while. As Moffat explains, "They have been defeated by the Doctor about 400 times. Surely they should just see the Tardis approaching, say, 'Oh. It's him again', and trudge away."
Makes sense I guess, although the day they come back better be epic, just for all this hype about getting rid of them.

This current storyline doesn't really need them for anything, so I can see a season or two at least without them. Hope this doesn't mean they're gone for good though, from the last few sentences it seems like he doesn't really find them interesting anymore.
