    - Why did River die in Silence in the Library? If she's the child, who we know can regenerate, then why didn't she? I remember her implying that the machine would kill the doctor, so I guess it would kill her too.
And other stuff that I guess will be answered in the future!
    Spoiler: show

For the first question it's kind of tough cause she could've been brainwashed or she could have knew the whole time and pretended to not know. The only person who could make the connection that the little girl was Amy's was Amy herself because she was the only one that saw the photos in DoTM in that room with the crib (Which incidentally had the same star mobile hanging in the crib that was on the doctors crib in last nights episode). Even though the others went into that room, they did not notice the photos. Also, River was never around when the little girl was in the space suit so if she knew it was her, she was intentionally not there because maybe she remembered being shot at by Amy and her older self wasn't present so she went elsewhere (into the sewer) to preserver the timeline. What really irks me though is that River is such a good shot with a gun, but yet she outright missed when shooting at the Astronaut multiple times as it went back into the lake after killing the doctor, which leads me to believe that it was the real doctor in the space suit, and the ganger was the one who got shot, and River was in on it. They had to make it look like the Doctor was dead.

As for the regeneration for River Song in Silence in the Library, River said that he wouldn't have a chance of surviving either. So there was no way that she could regenerate if he wasn't able to as well. That's why she took his place because she knew that he wouldn't be able to regenerate and also did it out of love because that would mean if he died, then they would have never met.

Gangers basically transformed back into flesh soon after they died didn't they? Or at least had difficulties remaining in their old form. The doctor showed no sign of being flesh when he got shot, and they seemed to be with him for awhile after he died.

    Spoiler: show
River hasn't spoiled anything about herself and kept everything hush hush about who she was and who she had killed. It's possible she doesn't remember killing The Doctor but knows she did it at some point in her childhood. However it's also very possible she knows it's her but she can't let on that she knows.

As for the possibility that The Doctor that was shot by the child was a Ganger. What stopped himself from finding a way to make his form solid or Time Lord even. If the Gangers could be made permanent humans due to their exposure or power from the Tardis, nothing says it couldn't do the same for The Doctor's Ganger. Of course Amy's Ganger was turned back into Flesh after Doctor did his thing but that could be due to the Sonic Screwdriver doing it's thing.

I found the Silurian asking the other chick "what could you possibly see in me" then hitting a guy across the room with her tongue to be somewhat amusing.

    Child: Will I be ok?

Strax: Of course you will, my boy! You'll be up and around in no time! And perhaps one day you and I shall meet on the field of battle, and I will destroy you for the glory of the Sontaran empire!

Yeah, Rory was such a badass at the start of the episode holy shit. Especially with the build-up from Amy.
"I have a message and a question. A message from the Doctor, and a question from me. Where. Is. My. Wife?! Oh, don't give me those blank looks. The Twelfth Cyberlegion monitors this entire quadrant. You hear everything. So you tell me what I need to know. You tell me now, and I'll be on my way."
    "What is the Doctor's message?"
*Cyberlegion fleet starts exploding behind Rory*
"Would you like me to repeat the question?"

A great episode, but I think we can all agree the secondary characters had all the best bits.

Definitely. Some of the better lines came from the recruited help. The Sontaran's lines really amused me.

    Spoiler: show
I did love how giddy the Doctor was when River "explained" things to him at the end. Like a little boy with the kissy noises and all.

    http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2011/06...-fourteen.html
Sam Hodges, Head of Communications for BBC1, Fiction, Daytime and HD at the BBC has confirmed on Twitter this afternoon that Doctor Who has indeed been commissioned for a further fourteen episodes, with Matt Smith continuing in the role. Head writer Stephen Moffat re-iterated:
14 eps + Matt DEFINITELY. I've got a plan and I'm NOT TELLING YOU WHAT IT IS.
Now hush or River shoots you with her Spoiler Gun.

The news comes after the future of the series had been raised by UK satirical publication Private Eye, which earlier tweeted that details on the state of the series production appears in their latest issue; coupled by an interview with Matt Smith in Saturday's Mirror about his Hollywood asperations, this had promoted widespread speculation in fandom over the series.

Something about a breast-feeding Sontaran just sort of mind rapes you.

I was particularly fond of his little "dogfight" reenactment when "Danny Boy" and the other Spitfire opened fire on Demon's Run. Just more evidence to go along with what I've said about the Eleventh Doctor, that his mannerisms as a whole are almost child-like in nature. From his attitude towards the food young Amelia makes him in "The Eleventh Hour" to how he acted in this episode, it's clear that he tends to behave more like how a child would in the same situation.

I also found it really cool that we learned that the universe gets the word doctor from the Doctor, and that he's the one that has shaped its meaning

I suspect most of the sentient universe gets most everything from the Time Lords. They're supposed to be (among the) the oldest sentient anthropomorphic species in the universe, and every life form that follows the head/torso/2 arms/2 legs paradigm gained the template from Gallifreyans (I'll make an attempt to cite the source for that claim and edit it in later. I'm pretty sure I Wiki'd it, though). Being the oldest and time-travelingest, it'd make sense if much of the universe adopted words, customs, and meanings from them.

The thing I wanna know, who's this big bad army that decides The Doctor is such a threat? Since the formation of U.N.I.T., earthlings have generally regarded him as an ally, so who'd think different, what era do they hail from, and where does the Shadow Proclamation stand on their actions?
