As for the suit I think he realized he needed a sonic and went for the cane. So what the hell? Might as well put a suit on lol.

But it is Moffat so anything could mean anything.
    Spoiler: show
Basically this. In the Tenth Doctor episode, "The Christmas Invasion", the Doctor's hand was cut off, only to regrow again due to residual regeneration energy. The Doctor comments that in the first 15 hours following a regeneration, any sort of injury will be healed. River, due to her regeneration from "Mel" being successful, was still within the 15 hours of her regeneration, so the bullet wounds would have healed due to the residual energy. The Eleventh Doctor's case, as Baelorn said, was different, as his regeneration process was interrupted well prior to its completion.

As for the tux, I also have to agree with Baelorn. Amy had his sonic screwdriver, so he just went ahead and grabbed one of his other sonic devices. As silly as it was (and it was pointed out as being such in the episode), despite the fact that he was dying, he just felt the urge to accessorize, so he chose the tux.

Seems like they put a fairly large unaddressed loose end in the episode unless I missed it. What exactly was clouding the people's memory of the wife's inability to conceive? It seemed like a point that wasn't really addressed once they went into they figured out the kid wasn't theirs and went into the dollhouse, unless the episode truly was just a filler in which case it doesn't really matter I guess. With the ending though, it felt like there was more to the episode you were supposed to pick up on.

Next week's episode seems cool at least.

Today's ep was really horrible filler in my opinion, I could barely pay attention. And why do they write children on this show to be worthless?

    Spoiler: show
"Is that a torch?" "Screwdriver. A sonic one, and other stuff..."

    Spoiler: show
"Pantaphobia!" "What?" "That's what it's called, pantaphobia. Not fear of pants though, if that's what you're thinking. It's a fear of everything... including... pants I suppose... in that case... sorry, go on."

Best parts of the episode, I thought

The Doctor mentioned that it was an exceptionally powerful perception filter created by the Tenza (George) as a means of allowing him to integrate himself into their lives. Millions of them hatch in space then drift around looking for a nest to grow up in, and are psychically able to sense what their foster parents want. When "George" attached himself to Claire and Alex, his perception filter to incorporate himself into their lives was so great that they both forgot Claire's inability to have children.

    Only 4 more weeks until
    Spoiler: show

The last episode title was revealed to be
    Spoiler: show

"The Wedding of River Song" however I would advise to take it with a grain of salt as we all remember the episode titled "The Doctor's Wife"

So I've noticed multiple references over the years to Time Lords having limited regenerations, but only the movie made in cooperation with Fox mentioned it was 13 regenerations, nothing else gas given a number. If it is 13, we're going to run out of Doctors soon. The Master in the old series once tried to steal regenerations from the Doctor, and somehow was granted extra regenertations by Time Lord society. The movie had the Master again trying to steal the Doctor's remaining regenerations. Now Song gave up all of hers to save the Doctor.

It was theorized somewhere that for the Doctor at least (to continue longer than a couple more), that at the start (or near the start) of the Time War, they gave everyone back all their regenerations, and it was a scientific limit placed on them by the society as a safeguard against the long term effects of too many. I'm fairly sure there's also an episode where a Time Lord commited suicide by attempting to start a regeneration with none left, which suggests (to me anyway) it's scientific to some degree, and not purely a biological function.

Spoilers below if you've not watched as far as pre-summer episodes yet, be warned!

    Spoiler: show
In Demon's Run it was suggested, at least I took it this way, that it was something to do with the time vortex, since River 'began' as a Time Lady because she was in the vortex at conception. Perhaps it was a mix of both vortex and Time Lord sciencey stuff, and they stabilized the time vortex energy to be used to regenerate (I look at is as something like... the vortex reverses their body, then fast forwards it as a random seperate growth rate, causing the change in appearance, but maintaining the memory), and either they eventually run out of energy (which could be replenished by exposure to the vortex somehow, perhaps the Untempered Schism?), or there is just a general safeguard.

In the Doctor's Wife, Idris mentions that she always took him where he needed to be, and obviously knows enough about the future to have more archived control rooms than he's used so far, so perhaps she was able to hack together some regenerative capabilities (assuming it's Time Lord science and not purely biological) as she knew that River was Amy/Rory's daughter (she obviously knew the spiel about 'The only water in the forest is the river').

I vaguely remember either reading it or in one of the episodes that the Doctor said he has more regenerations than a regular Time Lord. It was prolly in an episode with the Master, if I see it again I'll say something.

There wasn't an episode like that where he explicitly said that he had more regenerations than a normal Time Lord. However, in the Sarah Jane Adventures episode "Death of the Doctor", he commented that he could change 507 times (Russell T. Davies suggested after the episode was aired that it was meant to be taken as a joke, and that the number wasn't meant to be taken seriously).

    Just seen tonight's episode and
    Spoiler: show
So sad! I was crying when Rory and old Amy were talking through the door. I do wonder though if Rory's opinion of the doctor might be changing now.
