Except Rory is back to bitch mode again.
Except Rory is back to bitch mode again.
More like he doesn't fear anything, forcing him to fall back on his faith. I bet if he'd found his room, the thing that would probably terrify him is losing Amy. Maybe.
Like I said, he fears nothing.
And you realize what that means? He tapped Amy's sweet ass. In the TARDIS.he's father to River fucking Song,
Is it fair to say Rory is alpha as fuck?
If Rory had a room, you know what would be in it?
Spoiler: show
Also, do not approve of ending. Do not approve at all![]()
Rory didn't even get to say goodbye so I think they will be back. I know he had a rocky relationship with The Doctor but they went through a lot together.
That's the only thing that annoyed me about that episode. I can think of two times they wanted a scene to be between The Doctor and Amy so they just clumsily pushed Rory out of the scene. The first time is when the minotaur pushed him behind the door and he stayed there for the whole scene even after it moved away enough for him to get out. The other was when he went into this brand new house he had never been in before and found the champagne and glasses. It took him just long enough that The Doctor could leave after he was done talking to Amy.
I think the last ep was my favourite episode of this series, although it does sometimes feel they're trying to outdo how crazy and OTT each storyline is after the other. This series has had some really emotionally charged episodes.
Also, these latest storylines have been rather emotionally wrought - you have to wonder what a child would make of it, DW's supposed target audience. God knows if they understood the River/Melody stuff.
Doctor Who isn't a children's show. Sarah Jane Adventures was a kids show.
Minor correction: Doctor Who is a children's show made for adults.
umm... no
The concept of the story is that a girls imaginary friend comes back when she's an adult and they travel through time to have adventures. Know what show has a similar concept? The Magic School Bus. The difference being is that Doctor Who is done in such a way that children wouldn't understand the show.
I think the bit made for children is the over-the-top pseudo-science fiction, that's what draws youngsters to it. That's the icing, the rest of the cake ends up being for adults.
I don't really feel like having a huge argument about semantics, but if this is a kids' show then so is Star Trek, the Star Wars movies, and so on. Just because something can appeal to kids doesn't make it a kids' show.
Apparently you misunderstood me when I said it was a children's show made for adults. I'm not saying it's a childrens show. In fact I flat out said it wasn't a childrens show. What I am I'm saying is that it is an adults show wearing childrens shows clothing. The concept is childish. But the emotions, humor, and outlandish subject matter makes it fun for old people. That's what gives it it's whole mystic in the first place. Otherwise it would just be another Star Trek, but British.
Family show
Well, that's been the running theme since the season start, hasn't it? The Doctor's time almost up?
Until the Last Great Time War, I doubt most of the cosmos gave Time Lords a second look. It wasn't until that war that, according to the Tenth Doctor, they became bloodthirsty War Hawks bent on un-making creation for a win against the Daleks.
In any case, it's mostly just The Doctor that isn't popular. Think about it: Time Lords, by and large, adhered to non-interference (until the Time War), but you've got a few rogue elements, such as The Doctor, stealing TARDISes and bouncing all over creation doing whatever tickled their fancy. Particularly for a galaxy-spanning empire like The Silence, rule-breaking do-gooders are an inconvenience one one might be keen to be rid of.
This. Doctor Who has always been something the whole family can watch and enjoy, same is true for the 2005~ series. It's suitable for children, but it's not their target audience by any means. Sarah Jane Adventures was aimed at children and you can see a pretty huge difference (though I find it pretty enjoyable myself still, it's vastly different from Doctor Who). Torchwood was supposed to be more adult-themed as opposed to something for everyone.
