The bells of Saint John is explained in the episode. On the front of the TARDIS is a St John's Ambulance symbol/ reference on the phone. They're a charity first aid/medical help service.
April fools doctor who "announcements" going around.
One that a girl has been cast as the next doctor and one that there'll be a sherlock crossover in the 50th anniversary special
kind of dr who related. lol
Interesting episode.
Yeah, I kept on thinking "Oh god more singing"
I liked it. It had an old school feel to it. one of those campy episodes
I enjoyed it, the plot was just a little...thin. I liked the reference to the Doctor's granddaughter.
I thought it was fantastic personally. It was a character building episode. Plus this was just awesome looking:
Spoiler: show
Liam Cunningham playing captain in two series, also played in a movie in 96 with Eccleston.
This last episode reminded me of "The Beast Below" which was Amy's first trip with the Doctor. Overall it was an okay episode and I could've sworn that the car that almost hit Clara's dad was the same model car that hit/killed Rose's father.
fun bit of theorycraft http://who-lligan.tumblr.com/post/47...d-clara-theory
There is also the thing that Clara's mother died the same day as the Auton attack in the first episode, Rose.
I really hope its not that straight forward. But definitely there is a connection.
Cold War was probably one of the worst episodes I've ever seen. Sad because the rest of this season was so good.
