    His job was done as the Warrior, I assume he was overdue to switch. He must have been the Warrior for decades as in the Paul McGann short, his reflection looked youngish, maybe in his 40's? If I'm talking out of my arse, how long did the war go on for? I don't know enough.

    Edit again. And when I say decades, it could be even longer as that's from my persepctive. From his perspective, it may have been hundreds of years (like the current Doctor{s}) if he was in and out of time.

    I missed the first 15-20min so I'll have to rewatch later but I feel the episode was kinda bland up until the obvious multidoctoring then it was okay & amazing

    I guess that's a dumb thing to say

    Start with the ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston. The previous seasons I'd recommend once/if you get hooked since they tend to be... Not as great
