Not liking the new dr so far ._.a Too angry and dark for me. I know they're trying to mix things up and past drs were more serious too, but that's not what I've liked about the show.

And where the hell was this Clara during most of the previous season? She was brilliant in Asylum and Snowmen... and that was it.

I'm liking the development she's being given now. Asshole Twelfth is good for her.

I did kind of roll my eyes at how fast we have moved from "the Doctor is not Clara's boyfriend" to "let's get Clara a new boyfriend!"
The writing decisions so far have been pulling me out of immersion in the show, which...is indicative of bad writing.

Loving the more darker and serious doctor now. I mean, the quirky and funny Tenant and Smith were awesome but... damn, was getting a little old in my opinion.

Give it a few more episodes. The next episode "Robots of Sherwood" is a lighter episode with some comedy mixed in which will be a nice break from the seriousness of the first two episodes. It's one of my favorite episodes this season so far.

The new Doctor is definitely a better actor then Matt Smith. The writing doesn't seem as good though, the dalek episode was kinda dumb.

The story itself was another throw-away (much like last week IMO) but both the Doctor and Clara are continuing to shine. Capaldi is looking increasingly comfortable in his role, and we finally see a bit of whimsy from him as well. He still can fall into the gruff category quickly, but Clara continues to be a balance to that.

The regeneration cobwebs seem to be gone and I'm loving Capaldi more and more every episode. I hope the episodes continue to be character focused.

From the previews I expected this episode to be cheesy and stupid, but ended up thoroughly enjoying it.

I know it's likely just coincidental at best, but I kept halfway expecting the Sheriff to pop up and reveal himself as the Anthony Ainley era Master. His appearance, attitude, etc was almost a dead ringer for him in my opinion. It definitely isn't the first time the Master's tried passing himself off as an official during that era of Earth's history either, so it definitely wouldn't have been a stretch at all. Like I said, almost certainly a coincidence, but still caught my eye

Capaldi is kinda boring. Fine actor but basically a more brooding Tennant. Hopefully it gets better, these first 3 episodes have been unremarkable to say the least.

Apparently there was a scene involving Robin Hood beheading the Sheriff which resulted in him being revealed as a cyborg. It took place at some point before Robin used the rope to reach the gantry above the giant vat of gold. Knowing he's a cyborg explains why we saw the Sheriff's hands coated in gold seemingly reaching out of the vat before the gold hardened and solidified. The scene was cut out because it was considered bad taste following the two recent journalist beheadings

Having just recently finished season 6&7, I was kinda stoked to check out the new Dr. I need to watch the other episodes, as I've only seen the first. I'm hoping it's like when I picked up on season 6 (I really enjoyed Tennant). The first few episodes of season 6 were like, ugh come on, but they picked up and I very much enjoyed the rest of Matt Smith.

I didn't like Smith till the last few episodes of his run. Even then, he's still my least liked Doctor.

But ya, Robin Hood was a really crappy Episode. I want to like Capaldi but he needs better writing for it. The way it ended was just beyond cheesy

He needs time to develop I'd say by the next special we all will be use to him. That is how it always has worked for me, takes a good half a season to like the new doctor because I was so use to the old one

I didn't think I'd ever get over Tennant. But Matt Smith was pretty solid after a bit, so yeah, I know it's going to take a bit to get into a new actor.
