So we are currently on Companion Watch 2014 since there are rumors that Jenna is exiting after the Christmas Special. If there is no announcement sometime around the end of Nov/early December it is safe to say she is sticking around. The rumors for a new companion have the following three names that keep popping up:

Michelle Keegan is currently on the UK soap Coronation Street and I don't believe she has left that show yet and to me she doesn't look/feel like she could be a good companion. Natalie Gumede is in the Christmas episode so that could be her introduction episode. Rose Leslie is my favorite of the three, but I would honestly love to see another Donna type - someone who isn't skinny, young, and infatuated with the doctor.

1) As I understood them, Cybermen were "upgrading" humans by messing around with their brains and basically repurposing their nervous systems / augmenting their muscles to make them cyborg killing machines. How can they get away with using dead people, then? If the biological material doesn't really matter, just rain on a GM factory and make yourself some full-out killbots to do your bidding.
2) More about that "rain." If the rain can convert dead people into cybermen, why not live people?

My take on it was that they couldn't just rain a factory without deleting the minds. 3W used the anguish and confusion of peoples emotions after death to give them an option to delete their emotions so that in the end they can download them to their body. Danny's mind wasn't deleted so he couldn't be controlled and this is why 3W had to go through the whole process of collecting souls.

But I agree I think it is time for Moff to go. From what I am hearing, S9 will be his last as show runner with the Doctor inevitably finding Gallifrey as his swan song arc.
