strengthening your core should help your posture, I like Abdominal Vacuums (which have the pleasant side effect of making your waist slightly smaller over time lol)

The Transversus Abdominus and Lumbar Multifidus are the inner abdominal muscles. These muscles are rarely discussed, and the most neglected. These muscles lie beneath the Rectus Abdominus and External Obliques. The inner abdominal muscles support posture and control deep breathing during power movements, such as heavy squats. They are responsible for back support. Since they are rarely targeted, they are often weaker. By building a stronger inner abdominal wall, you can limit and relieve back pain, create a tighter midsection, and add explosive power to your training.
A weird one I heard of is putting a rectangle of duct tape on your back, with the top corners on the center of your shoulder blades. If you slouch the rectangle will pull on your skin (not enough to hurt) to remind you to sit up
Another one is sleeping on your back without a pillow for a month
Could also use the corselet Kardashian uses w/ her ass.
Plank is one of the best Isometric excercises for your back/abs
enjoyable and takes only a little effort
Is it bad that every once in a while my back cracks just from me breather or standing up straight? <_<;
I have really good postureBitches say I'm always graceful :D
Stand up straight, head up like someone is pulling your ponytail up and back (sexy?), and tighten the belly like you just put on 10lbs and you're still wearing the "cute" shirt you just bought 10lbs ago xD Shoulders back chest outttt
Do it all-day-everyday and you can be graceful too :DDDD
Seriously though. I do this everydayI dont keep up with exercises, but I have done bridges and iron crosses and hate (love?) them because they work, but never on a consistent basis. But I really stand up straight all the time and I never really bend, I lean and squat to do anything. Nursing school "body mechanics" never really left me alone lol
dunno how well they work so maybe someone else can verify, but figured I'd throw this out here:

Sadly, they cost 100 bucks. I did, however, meet a teacher once who used them and loved them, but it could have been a placebo effect. If you want them I suggest doing some research first.
I think those are supposed to tone your calves or something, don't think it has anything to do with posture. Also they look retarded.
Huh, I did click it but I missed that part last time(bad advertising). But yeah a woman I worked with on a movie set vouched for them and she was on her feet 14 hours a day so if you can stand the aesthetics by all means, buy em.
I bet it's a lot easier to push bitches the fuck over when they're wearing those
My mom uses a pair of these because she has a job where she's standing most of the day. She said they're a little hard to get used to but once you do they work wonders.
One of the things ive done for years for posture is something you prolly do every day without realizing it.
Driving.
Keep your drivers seat in your car at a normal distance from the steering wheel...but dont recline the seat at all. Keep it straight up (maybe just one notch down). The muscles in your back, stomach, and shoulders eventually learn that this is a "normal" position for them and they adjust accordingly.
Try doing deadlifts and/or squats. Both are excellent for developing your core (deadlifts especially for your lower back).
Overdeveloped abs can hurt your posture/back if your back muscles are undeveloped.
*edit
Also, try stretching out your hamstrings. Tight hamstrings can cause issues with your back as well.
Well, sticking feathers up your butt won't make you a chicken, probably won't help your posture either.
Isometrics, and those shoes are awesome, all bitches need to wear them all the fucking time.

I ran around in a pair of these in a store once:

You feel that shit FAST, the shape ups are a lot lower impact, but the same concept. Makes you tense up all the little core muscle groups, keeps you aware of the major groups, it's kinda like walking up stairs/up hill all day.
