POL: msiexec.exe / Windows Installer

I ran a search here and couldn't find anything on this.

Why is it that every time I press PLAY from POL to start up FFXI the Windows Installer pops up with "msiexec.exe"? Running WinXP, using POL NA. None of my other games do it, and I'd like to not have to reinstall.

Anyone seen or heard of this problem? It makes connection lost(s) very very annoying

I get something similar, however its ISScript.msi or whatever.

I had it before long ago. Most I can recall is that the only thing I could figure out to fix it was reinstalling.
