Idk man, if I want something dead and time is relevant I take the job that can do the most damage. If I'm scared of something killing my group but time isn't, I take the tank that's hardest to kill. If I want something stunned every 7 seconds, I re-evaluate my strategy.

I prefer BLU in SW Apollyon low man situations, stun lock is great for the trees and mimics. I think the only thing BLU can do better than another job is stun locking.

In any other situation however I'd prefer another job over BLU.

I have a challenge for Draylo.

My BLU has near-perfect gear(including sets for obscure spells carried over from other jobs), most all spells, capped skill, merits, etc. Give me a situation to use it that'll convince me it's worth using.

You can regurgitate all over Fafnir FROM BEHIND. Bet you can't do things to Fafnir from behind on Samurai!

On a serious note, I don't know if you do already, but BLU can solo the Wyvern NM @ Grauberg [S] (Whatever the place with the Hippogryphs is called) using a regurgitation + Pinecone Bomb combination.
