Favorite levels in video games ever?

My favorite level that I have ever played would have to be the Silent Cartographer level from Halo CE.

The epic feel the music gives, combined with the vehicle and beachead combat gave the level a lasting place in my mind. I still go back and play it to this day to remind myself exactly how much better the subsequent Halo games could have been.

A close second would have to be Ravenholm from Half Life 2.

I loved the level in FFVII where you have to re-enter Midgard to disable the Mako Cannon. Just felt so epic climbing the giant structure and racing your way there to fight Dr. Hojo at the end.

I also enjoyed the level in Half Life 2 E1 where you have to enter the tunnel and you're surrounded by complete darkness with the exception of your damn flashlight that always seemed to love running out of power when you hear a fast zombie in the distance and you start to shit your pants while whispering to yourself saying "oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck". I remember I'd always pussy out and make Alyx go check it out before moving into a closed area, lol.

I always loving playing though the Metal Knight level/game in Superstar, I often go back and replay it on emulators every now and then.

I also loved the final level and boss fight from Sonic Adventure 2 for some reason.

These level are probably what got me into the whole speed run 'scene'.

Stage 5 in Gunstar Heroes for the Genesis/Mega Drive! Very long and somewhat challenging level with intense music and a great twilight background made for an epic experience back in the day.

Also, the entire first world in Demon's Souls. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the visuals, not to mention the badass bosses.
