I do in public, I do not at home - college student (~$4,000).

I always wash my hands in any public place, and if they have towels I use those. I then use the towel I used to dry my hands to open the door because most bathrooms also have a trashcan outside of them.

Full time student/part time job that doesn't pay a lot.

And again, yes, I know it's flawed. THe assignment explained in class was like this:

"Go into a bathroom and get into a corner with a clipboard and tally up those who wash their hands".

That's a terrible way to perform a study, if I didn't wash my hands typically, I sure as hell would if some kid was watching me from the corner with a clipboard. I don't think she's as interested in the results.

What I would do in order to get a less biased response is go sit in a toilet stall and listen for the sounds of washing hands. Less accurate yes because some people just run the water but if you are in a stall pretending to take a shit people are more likely to do their thing without noticing you.

Also I wash my hands 100% of the time when I am out and I use paper towel to open the door/flush the toilet. When I am at home I wash my hands when I shit 100% of the time and about 50/50 for pee.
