Gogo black helicopter theories about putting NMs in JP time, screwing EUs, destroyed server data, etc.

Is it possible they just did the emergency maintenance post-update without even trying to launch the servers?

NA news item is 18510
EU news item is 18511
You can confirm they all point to the same one.

And JP time is currently 16 hours ahead of pacific daylight time, JP is GMT+9 and Pacific is normally GMT-8 but GMT-7 due to DST.

It's 21:56 now in California, and in Japan it is currently 13:56, which would mean that maint should be over in another hour according to the JP site.
