By my math, it will take at least 15 hours to finish the first trial (and that's with a power-leveling Haste bitch with you full time), likely closer to the range of 20-30. So, unless he's a friend who has bragged about attempting suicide before today, I'd disregard what he's saying as complete bullshit.

I hate to say this but the only non-suicidal way I see to progressing through this bs is to setup "merit parties" and convince support mages to earn roughly half of the exp they'd get from a regular merit party so upgraders can keep their sanity.

What they said. I'm doing Mandau currently. WSing on Tigers in Bhaflau Thickets. For the first 2 hours I was doing 75 ws an hour offhanding a BD, with haste. Borrowed a KC after that and have been doing 100 ws an hour with haste. Anything less than 20 hours of straight fighting will be on the good side, I'd say.

Got unlazy and logged on, picked up my Amano's first trial. Thinking something like cape terrigan. Rabbits count as beasts, and they have just enough HP to get off a WS or two a mob depending on Sek. recast.

Agree with Taint, Garlaige best if solo for Apoc; you can clear the circular room quickly then rest with Signet and chill for a few mins then repeat. If there are a few people in the area, it's just brutal.
