    So, what's the verdict on some of the really nice multi-hit weapons?

    76 DMG 464 Delay and OAT GKT sounds freaking awesome on paper, but then people start talking about weapon rank and my head aslpodes. Worth the effort or no?

    31 DMG OAT dagger looks like new best offhand dagger though. Move over X's knife?

    And yeah, pchan is right on this. Especially when you're critting low level mobs your damage is skewed towards the highest possible values by an amount that you couldn't predict by looking at the range of possible damages. That's why people sub THF to check WS modifiers.

    That is definitely incorrect. I got far more bottom end than topend. There was a point in time where there was no variation with SA. That was changed like 2? years ago. Also, pchan said the distribution was even, which I'm willing to accept perhaps.

    Most people can cut there time in half with double march, haste, Store-TP doubleatt rolls. Few people can find 3 friends or quad box for a few hours.

    Honestly the gayest thing about undead is not Ice Spikes / general gayness, but the repop time since the vast majority are in dungeons.

    Naww Eldeiem necropolis is the best so far, can get above 100ws/hour easy. Enter and go all the way west, drop down and there is a nice farming path of bones, ghost, and shades that you can't kill fast enough once you make the full rounds.

    someone probably answered this already but i didnt see it. after you complete a relic weapon trial for dmg+, can you remove the augments and start over? If so, how?

    God, the second trial is a fucking headache. I sped through the first in a day or so, but just cannot motivate myself to tackle this one in any sort of quantity that represents progress.

    Dropping it and requesting the relic, lol?

    Seriously I doubt there is a way to remove these atm. I doubt SE would make the next set of trials not branch off these though. It'd be really neat to see them give relics similar options to what magian weapons get. They really really really badly need to fix certain relics/mythics through this system imo.

    So yeah. Buddy is LS was out in Vunkerl killin crabs for the 2nd stage of his Apoc Magi quest and sees a COR out there also killin crabs. He checks him, and sure as shit has a Death Penalty. Jp named Akamanah.

    Buddy says he's been out there killin crabs for a bit, suggesting that his points are accumulating.

    Send him a /tell. He doesn't speak English. I don't speak Squiggle. It's almost 3am and I'm half asleep. I try asking with auto-translate if he has been getting his WS points to register. He doesn't fully understand the question it seems, and I forgot to screen shot the conversation, but it seems like his works or else he wouldn't have been out there killing crab after crab.

    There isn't exactly an auto-translate for "How the fuck is yours working and mine isn't?!?!?!?"

    Proof that SE favors JP's . . .

    I've killed a mob of every family with the exception of Demons & Sea mobs.

    Not sure what this COR did any different then myself or Thunderlips, but I sure as shit would like to find out (possible pre-quest, have to have used your Mythic WS a certain number of times before WS points will register, etc, etc).

    I've tried racking my brain around this shit since day 1 and have no clue wtf to do. Other then bitch at GM's.

    Anyone with suggestions?

    I wonder if any of the relics will receive that juice OA 2-4x? Just the thought of that on Apocalypse is terrifying.

    There's a possibility that it's registering but doesn't actually feel like telling you it is doing so? Perhaps its just a problem which does not exist on the JP client. It wouldn't be the first time something go borked between regional versions. I don't think I would want to test this theory, but if you have nothing better to do... /shrug

    Is it possible you missed some obvious but overlooked step with your mythic to begin with? Something like talking to an NPC to complete the quest even after you obtain your finished mythic?

    Did you trade your weapon to the moogle to get it flagged for the quest first?

    Not to be patronizing in the slightest, but at least four DRKs showed up to the first NM in our Farmhand path without their weapons tagged for 512. Seems not uncommon for some to have missed this entirely.

    pchan was saying that it's more skewed towards the top for very low level mobs. Personally I didn't read through the thread he's talking about, but I remember glancing at the results he's talking about. I still feel unsettled about the pDif formulae, but I guess testing at the upper range has been pretty solid lately.

    I haven't seen a lot of clear verdicts on a lot of the weapons yet. No doubt, many of them are pretty good and it's hard to decide on the new bests. Here's some junk I posted over on alla',

    Just for comparison's sake: How does the new dagger compare to Sirocco's increase in TP Gain?
    From the standpoint of starting from 211 delay. With 178delay 2nd dagger, DW&ACP, &+13sTP.

    211&178 TP/hit = 5.3
    211&178 TP/time = 0.0356tp/delay
    150&178 TP/hit = 5.0
    150&178 TP/time = 0.0397tp/delay

    So in this scenario, going from a 211->150 delay offhand is increasing TP/time by 397/356, or 11.5%. (Calculating b4 sTP, this was 357/315 or 13.3%).

    Reiterating b4 and revisiting the occ. atk. 2x on the new offhand dagger, we're increasing hits/round from 2.48 (2 daggers & 24% triple attack) to 2.86. So the increase in swings/time or TP/time = 15.3%.

    So new dagger has a clear lead in speed ahead of all our other options (That aren't M.Kris, Ridill, or Kclub). In this example, the TP gain is 3.4% faster than using Sirocco.

    Mandau+2: 17.3
    Athame: 14.3
    Kartika: 14.1
    Blau: 13.8
    Fane(+6,no t.a.): 13.2
    Vajra+4: 13.0
    Sirocco: 12.9
    X's: 12.6

    So if comparing this to sirocco, it's like it has 11% more DPS (14.3/12.9, add.effect not included), and per earlier it is only 3.4% faster.

    You can think of Athame as a Sirocco+1. It's actually not that much faster, and the DPS is higher but not leaps and bounds ahead. I'd like to say Mandau users have a use for it but Blau/X's have already been deemed better than Sirocco, and I'm not sure if this "Sirocco+1" can actually push them over. In fact, it's been thought for awhile that X's never pushed Blau over either, but the lack of Evisceration crit info kinda leaves X's in limbo. And hell, even for fodder mobs, Ridill (if ya have it) is still gonna be better.

    I think I'm gonna be spending some time in Uleguerand as well -.-. Beasts for Mandau, Bombs(arcana) for my D.A. Athame, and bunnies for my Evasion Dakini.

    And holy hell, just realized I can upgrade two of those. 14 evasion on a dagger is absolutely overpowered. Two of these and the new rings, and that's a potential +20 evasion or 10% evade rate more than the previous cap for Thief. That'll put my max eva at around +131 :3 :3
