I know I'm posting a couple days late, but I feel your pain Sath ... I would get 50 WS in 20 min, then 10 WS the next 20 min, because everyone's done with their stupid 4xBunny and ready for lizards. I moved to slowwww Kuftal, because I'm not gonna camp stupid EP lizard claims with a mountain dew heart rate, seriously stupid!![]()
Ok, I can't read apparently, my bad. Pchan seems wrong then, looked pretty evenly distributed from what I saw. Small sample size/etc.
This.Small sample size/etc.
The other thing to consider is the skill gaps though.
Having OAT on a dagger, at least it seems to me, is a BFD for THF and especially DNC. Right now DNC really only has Joyeuse to choose from, but with this...
You guys are making this way too hard.
Theres a 1.00-1.05 multiplier on all final damage.
Crits are capped at 3.0. Apply 5% to this and thats where you get 3.15 from.
but even with capped Ratio/cRatio (Ratio caps before level correction at 2.2 for two-hand and 2.0 for one-hand) you can wind up below 3.0 (as low as 2.0*0.8+1.0=2.6 for a one-hander).
Quick definitions:
pDIF'a' is pDIF calculated through most of the old formulas
pDIF'b' is pDIF after the 5% randomizer
pDIFa is capped at 3.0 on critical hits, otherwise it is never capped (the only effective cap besides this one is the 2.0/2.2 caps on Ratio, not cRatio).
Thus on critical hits you end up with a pDIFb ranging from 2.6-3.15 for one-handers, with the vast majority being between 3.0 and 3.15 (within the final 5% randomizer with capped 3.0 crit "pDIFa"). This is more apparent with two-handers who will hit capped crits far more often with the higher Ratio cap, resulting in a crit range of 2.76-3.15 with far more, roughly 87%, landing in the >3.0 range.
tl;dr Quick dicking around about it. Crits cap at 3.0 and SE added a +0-5% randomizer to mess with your head about them not 'capping' even though they are.
You can do it just as easily with regular melee damage. Melee hits will cap at 2.77 for two-handers and 2.5725(?) for one-handers (not my forte, can't confirm if 1.2*cRatio+1.05 is correct for them).
I already had my tirade and in a craze and fury worked out in a week what people have been dicking about with for two years now.
Seeing how annoying part 2 is I think ill just do 25 kills with WS a day. It will take 60 days to finish but 25 is probably as much as I can handle without getting totally bored and pissed off. Still will get done before the June patch and be ready for the next trails they will add.
Mandau has it pretty bad....MS unstacked is kinda weak. Thf (presuming you're on thf, though I could probably do faster kills on rdm/nin) can get boned via triple attack at low hp, triple dmg proc at low hp, untimely crit...I've lost about 20 or so kills because of that.
Get an adventuring fellow and trick attack mercy stroke it.
I'm completely disgusted that Mandau only gets +2 while Carnwenhan/Terpsichore/Vajra gets +4. If you look at Bravura etc. they all get a 6-7% increase, Mandau gets approximately 5%.
Help a clothcrafter mass farm spiders outside Al Zabi. Only stipulation being that he lets you TA off him. SA mercy does around 1500-1700 and TA mercy does around 1200-1500 to them.
If someone gives me the numbers for a 25 base dmg, +10 dmg dakini, I will go test it on low level mobs. What I need are the theoretical max given a weapon rank of 2, and the theoretical max given a weapon rank of 3. If you need any more information from me let me know, though I think this should be enough.
Wonder how much + to all songs either Carn or Ghorn will get?
