Yeah i'm thinking there will be 2nd tier effects, like Haste+12 AM.

Wouldn't it be nice to dream, but if they screw with the Aftermath of Catastrophe, they'll be doing it with all weapons. Things like "Enhances Counter effect II" are equal to the blindness, paralysis, defense down, etc., procs on other weapons.

Besides some strange desire to have two gold daggers (or whatever), why would you even want to if you could? It's a long-standing fact that Relic and Mythic weapons in the off-hand are just paperweights. All the bonus effects get stripped. If anything, you'd be better off completing an Emyprean weapon at this point, though I won't pretend to be surprised if they eventually make them into a third tier of high-end weapon and subsequently take away all their special powers when off-handed.

Technically, I think it would be possible. The level 75 and 80 versions both have completely different item ID's in the dats.

Item 18276 is the original excal, 18277 is the new level 80 version.

i cant believe there is nothing for ghorn or aegis.

That is really unfair, especially since yagrush got a buff and thats arguably just as useful if not more so in alot of situations...

Why should only aegis and ghorn have to sit the fuck out? wtf? Because apoc,yagrush,excali,mandau,anni really needed buffs too.

Who is to say they deserved a buff more than aegis/horn? Yes you're hearing a lot of U mad. Cause I am mad..

Only thing I can think of for excalibur is the procs on 1/4 your HP extra damage now is just dealt in the melee swing itself, instead of in an en-light effect, ie so you actually gain emnity from the extra damage. Great if your tanking, but not so much for the afk on JoL type thing.

I too was really expecting Gjallarhorn to get some kind of a buff, maybe in the next update they will give Gjallarhorn All songs +3. If they didn't, I'm imagining sometime Mage's Ballad III is coming before 99, and this will act as a nerf for Gjallarhorn since it would only give an 80% increase in MP/tick over regular horn as opposed to the current 133% increase.

We didn't get armor trials like we were supposed to either...

I would either wait until September, or there could be a mini-update in a couple of weeks. Going on just how beefy the others are, I'm predicting the following as a minimum;


Gjhorn - Singing/Wind Skill bumped up to at least +15, probably more CHR and +3 to all songs

Aegis - Enhances Shield Bash II, Magic Damage Taken -30% (and base Def increase obviously)


EDIT: Just pray they don't do anything fucking retarded like kill X mobs with Requiem or Shield Bash...

To be honest, those two don't really -need- to be beefed up unlike the normal weapons that would have been decimated by the new Magian upgrades.

Gjallar and Aegis are still at the top.

Kinda offtopic but same hope for aegis and Gjallahorn should be for salvage equip. They havent add armor trials yet so there is no reason to gives spacial no-weapons trials even for relics.

at 77 i'm currently getting 50 exp a kill

that is 175,000 I can level to 80 just killing EP and i still wouldn't be done ... how sad is that.
