    I understand what you are saying. I took that same approach and finished upgrading my relics just in time for this last patch ^^;

    On a side note 60 mobs per hour (1 mob a minute) semi AFK is an amazing rate.

    And for your specific argument of Apoc gaining 16% base would be amazing if all the other scythes stayed the same. But you left out one small thing. New weapons have been introduced that also have higher base damage. The relics have to upgrade to continue competing or become obselete.

    You're wrong and completely missing the point. None of what you said applies to me. I too have many jobs, support my event ls in all events, and have lots to do in RL so I can't play 18hrs a day. I don't have a ton of gil, I've been doing dynamis twice a week for almost 6 years now. I've done tons of quests, and experienced every aspect of this game. Including capping stats like parry before chiggers even existed, obtaining every WS, etc...

    Despite all this, the relic trials are becoming increasingly harder and can take up to 40+ hours per trial to complete. Even longer when you factor in that magian trials overlap and all the good camps are packed to hell. I don't mind putting effort into making my Relic better, but I feel there's a problem when I have to put in a disproportionate amount of time/effort to receive an upgrade that other Magian Scythe trials gain in a fraction of the time.

    Not to be a grammar Nazi because I sure as fuck am not perfect, but what the fuck? Although I do agree most of the trials are not worth crying about, they could have spent a little more time to make something a little more creative for relic owners to do instead of mindless grinding.

    But other scythe arent relics and top one scythe....
    There is a reason that e body costs 200k and +1 costs 20-50M when e body +1 is only better by few %.
    You are just very talented in organize your game activities or/and have realy good friends to help you with this.
    I am pretty bad on orgnizing and I have realy good friends in game but they
    a) are in LSs
    b) dont play much enough
    I run my own salvage and we doing realy great but i think i lack the skill to organize more events tho we will try abbysea with my salvage static.
    Gammar is my weak point yeah and even that it's not my native language dont exuse me sorry :/

    I do have a great group of people to do events with, and I feel I do manage my time well. But I don't feel that changes the point being made about relic augments. I've parsed against other Magian Scythes and they're very close to Apoc. I realize Apoc is still on top, and still has versatility that the other magian scythes don't offer. But I feel it's getting out of hand that the relic trials are increasing in effort/time, while other scythes only require 1/10th of the effort/time. At the current rate, Relic weapons will be undermined by Magian Trials unless hundreds of hours are spent on augmenting. I see a problem with this. I shouldn't have to do 1,500 WS kill shots to gain a +2 DMG increase when a magian Scythe needs 500 kills for +3 DMG increase.

    I agree that Relic trials should be hard, but they're too hard, and getting harder. The upkeep on relics is getting ridiculous.

    Also, E Body+1 is way more expensive than NQ E Body due to how crafting works in this game. People spam for +1s and the NQs lower in value due to simple supply/demand. It has nothing to do with the actual stat gain.

    well since you're being a cunt, let me lay it down for you:
    Tier 1 Mandau was Beasts, 1500 MS uses. I did Gnoles, since they heal HP, arent much of a problem, and only requires WS shots, not kills.
    Tier 2 was Vermin, 1500 MS killshots. I did Rolanberry [s] Dragonflies, which are 58-62, probably the lowest lvl applicable vermin. But guess what, Mercy Stroke is a piece of shit unstacked WS, that does about 400 dmg. It was actually rather common to drop a fly from 15% to 0 just from an unlucky triple dmg proc, or a triple attack, which killed the mob with 0 gain, but if I WSed at higher HP, It wouldnt die, and I lose out again. and thats with piercing bouns.

    Now, Tier 3 is Plantoids, and thats shit, fucking shit. Since my thf is 80 now, that puts the lowest lvl available EP mob as lv61, unless the tiers changed. Heres whats viable to fight:
    Puktrap 64-66 Caedarva Mire
    Brasscap 59-61 Grauberg (S) <-hopefully +21 counts as EP still at 80
    Death Cap 60-63 Boyahda Tree
    Goobbues (n/a)
    Morbols (LOL)
    Mourioche 62-68 Boyahda Tree
    Jumbo Rafflesia 64-68 Fort Karugo-Narugo (S)
    Spelunking Sabotender 62-68 Quicksand Caves
    Treant Sapling 61-64 Caedarva Mire
    Knotty Treant 63-64 Grauberg (S)

    And I can name a problem with everyone of them:
    1-AOE sleep (hits outside PT, so PL on follow is out of the question), + strong slow)
    2-may not entirely work
    3-6 pops over a 16 min period?
    4-none available?
    5-Fuck that
    6-dungeon, aoe sleep (hits outside PT I think)
    7-aoe sleep + amnesia
    8-Dungeon, Needles, etc etc
    9-AOE sleep, hits outside PT
    10- this is sadly probably my best bet, and its FULL of aggro around them I think.

    Maybe for your relic WS that does 1500 dmg in the face in TP gear on EP, sure, lucky you....but mine just doesnt

    Metatron Torment was topping at 1300ish maximum, average of 900-1100 on EPs without DA.

    Seriously, shit sucks. That's like only 28% at the lowest with leaving some at 1-2% if I get a low end #, so ending up doing 1500 from 25% or less for T2.

    Doing it 3500 more times can suck my ass.

    First, you're not going to get an EP from 3,200-3,500 HP down to 1,300 without the mob having enough tp for a tp move.

    Second, if your WS is a multi hit and misses some, you're going to lose the kill. If you wait too long, you might kill with a triple.

    It'd be great if you'd do a couple thousand of these before taking issue with people who have.

    I don't see how anyone could seriously argue that the relic trials are anywhere near fair at this point. It would be more interesting if they weren't based on grinding but instead involved a "challenge" (eg Perform an "x" chain skillchain, perform a certain number of weaponskills in a given timeframe, deal a certain amount of damage within a given timeframe etc) - could be a lot more challenging/require more thought and be balanced at the same time.

    As horrible as this guy's typing is, I actually somewhat agree with him.

    Yes, I think the trials are a bit excessive (500 killshots for the first two and 1,000 for the last would be acceptable) but, really, it's not that bad. A lot of people did get their relics paid for by linkshells and so it was a lot easier for them than for others. For me, I prefer it this way. I would rather do thousands of killshots than be required to do an event which requires other players or the effort of a large linkshell like Dynamis. With these trials, I can do them at my own leisure by myself.

    Yes, they are a bit excessive and take forever but I really like the idea, it just needs to be adjusted to be a bit more fair.

    I'll make a deal with him, if he goes out and killshots 10,000 mobs, records it so i can see him doing it, i will personally upgrade him a relic.

    I think everyone's pretty much agreeing with you though, Therin. We're all in agreement that we could be going through worse (collecting currency again, collecting R/EX drops, etc.), but it could stand to be adjusted just a bit. There might be hope though: SE *did* adjust the Alexandrite rates, but eh.

    As for Atoreis, while I see where he's coming from, you're probably speaking in the wrong thread. Yeah, there are some people who had their relics paid for, but in general obtaining one is a tremendous amount of bullshit for some people: Not just in collecting the currency, but having to depend on people to that degree, calling in favors, owing people, etc. You've also seen people propose other types of challenges to upgrade rather than what appears to be from their perspective, some pretty unimaginative stuff from SE.

    I also think most, if not all upgraders here are thankful for the opportunity to be able to power up their weapon. No one's disputing that. But that doesn't mean we have to bow down and say "OH MY GOD THANK YOU SE FOR THIS MIGHTY UPGRADE, PRAISE BOTH YOU AND RAPTOR JESUS". As Therin said, it could've been tweaked.

    Also fuck raptors. By the end of this trial, it won't be a meteor that brings about the extinction of dinosaurs, it's going to be Dark Knights.

    Quick, someone photoshop a meteor-like Apoc flying towards a bunch of dinos.

    Anyway, I feel the worst for people who either just finished a relic, or are about to. Must be discouraging as hell.

    Tell me some good way to record it and we are set.
    I killed 2000 yagudo in 5 days skilling guard and i was solo /dnc and 50% of them i was holding (like brd + mnks) and some was ninja that paralyzed+blinded me and brds that elegy'ed me and i wasnt crying at no skill ups for 2 h sometimes.
    All that for not realy useful skill. If I could get a relic for 10000 kill shots i would have a full set of them for all my 75 lol.
    As for my gammar I will definietly try to work on it more sorry.
