probably going to get scorched with flames for this, but I've been away for a few months and had to see if anyone can verify this;
Friend in game said there was an event a couple of months ago where the dev team said Aegis would be getting an augmented upgrade.
Same friend said it was defense 80 and PDT-25% and a new kind of latent trait.
The latent trait was said to be a shield bash counter that procs occassionaly on blocks.
This all sounds a bit too much and more than any Aegis owner could hope for, so I am more than doubtfull to say the least.
Has anyone heard this before?

You actually just need to WB 100 times on an EP and your Aegis gets turned into the useful relic of your choice.

believe me teh leeches there is the best you can get, there are plenty and all close together, running around in other zones for amorphs = loose time.

Flans - mount Z should be EP by now but i'm sure TP drain is less then a threat
Hecaeyes - den of rancor - fucking hate paralyze
slimes - bostaunieux oubliette or den of rancor - not to squishy
slugs - pashhow marshlands [S] - encumberance is worse then TP drain
Worms - Aydeewa subterrane ( 7 on a 16 min respawn timer 3 of which link) kuftal tunnel and where mountain worm spawns in Ukegyerabd Range.
Or leeches in bostaunieux oubliette or Caedarva Mire or Wajaom Woodlands
Honestly think your best bet is leeches sadly.

I was going to try slugs in roland[S] later for my spharai trial, ill have auspice up from whm mule, think the slugs will even get TP to encumbrance me before dying?

Surprisingly enough, on a very rare occasion they did (also WHM mule and Tiercel Necklace to get capped subtle). Having to whack the NM there every 1-2 hours, so it doesn't fuck up your 8 pop loop was a bigger annoyance, but still better than leaving it there and having to do it on 7 pops.

Think leaches are a better option? Don't really need tiercel with aftermath from FH no? 15 in gear, 20 from traits, 10 auspice, 10 aftermath puts me over cap.

If you can find another spharai owner, or someone who also needs amorph, you can do the camp in KRT. Basically, you take the entrance where people in 2004 used to exp on the bats.

Wouldn't recommend it at all if you're solo, even with an alt or 2 following due to bats. But with 2 spharais, I can generally get more kills there on the worms vs slugs. You start at the blank entrance point and work your way up to where cemetery cherry spawns, then just backtrack and start over.

I did nearly all 2000 amorphs on slugs in Rolanberry [S]. Encumbrance isn't that bad, 90% of the time it would miss me and I probably saw them a lot more then I should have by off handing Kraken Club (whm/dnc, didn't bother to auspice).

Leeches linking and TP drainkiss became too much for me personally.

Very far off from what I said. But way to score another BG post count.
The actual source of this info is a player on sylph called Nasuu. Instead of taking what he said as a given, I came to BG to see if I did indeed miss something in the 4-5 months I had been away from the game.

The problem is some of the Slugs are a little walk, combined with the fact you won't kill them within 30sec of the last kill there will be times that you won't have aftermath up. While I'm not one to discuss the use of 5 store tp on something such as this, Tiercel was cheap and gave me the idea: well nothing more I can do to prevent this crap. Another good defence btw is being lv80 or over. It seemed to affect the proc rate quite a bit being those few levels higher (i dinged 77 or something halfway through this trial), probably moreso in 85cap. And the NM couldn't get enslow to proc on me forever when I was 80.

Leeches I didn't like at all, but I was solo and all I saw down there were godfucking NINs with their reject job and relic. I know monks on my server duo'd worms in KRT like mentioned here too after the team up patch.

I did sewer leeches because of the sheer quantity. sub dnc at 80 and because of damage resistance you should get way more tp than you need anyway, use it to get 5 finishing moves, reverse right after a tp drain and you should still have enough. Very rarely they act lame and use your drained tp to tp drain again right after, but most of the time they're using acid mist or suction in my experience. It gets lame when its too crowded but thats true of almost any place you can pick.

I thought about /DNC when I was at work. That seems to be the route I will take. Just need to adjust my G15 tribox macros so the taru-slave does sambas and waltzes and the main only does reverse flourish and steps.
