Just curious but...I don't quite get why people are bothering to do latest upgrades at all let alone doing them so quickly. Given they are still pretty weak compared to other stuff out there. Is it for something to do? completeness or anticipation for the last trial being epic?

Not trying to put a downer on it just curious what drives people to bother doing something when the end result is honestly pretty laughable.

Relic holders still have little hope deep down their heart and wish SE will make a final omfg adjustment at last stage.
Which will make relic the strongest weapon in game again.

Also while ppl upgrading together, hop on the bandwagon now is better than trying to find ppl help you in the future.

Pretty much this...the only reason I'll upgrade is cause I have friends with horn/shield who will be in bcd at some point.

No Relic holder in their right mind should be hoping for much at this point. The trials were reduced to levels which make them comparable to current magians. They are still the second or third best weapons in most cases. The amount of effort required in killing an attestation NM is very low. Most of them can be trio'd with np at all. (Or just pay some dynamis LS to tag along on their Dyna-Beau.) Yea you can't do it all in one day, but total effort required over the course of 3 weeks is like ~5-6 hours. AND the trials are made in such a way that you can team up with other relic holders easily. The only reason not to upgrade a relic is if you have an Empyrean of the same weapon. (But I imagine most with both, will upgrade Relic anyway.)

The thing I don't get is why SE thinks that Magic Damage -40% is even useful. PLD can cap it with lvl 75 Aegis just by casting shell on themselves.

'cause I always fucking hated recasting Shell on a tank after every 10% on Odin when I used to actually play white mage (and was in a shell that used paladins).

Not sure it has been mentioned, for the new relic trials (killing attestation NMs), you do not have to be in the alliance that does the killshot on the NM.

For relic kills, you don't even have to be alive to get the credit. My bard had died in Dynamis-Jeuno about 20 seconds before kill and was still dead during the kill and got credit immediately.

This is nice to know~ Seems they're less restrictive on the requirements for the new relic trials. I think the last big thing to figure out is if you need to be near the kill for it to count (similar to Abyssea bosses).

Now if only more than 1 group could enter Dynamis at a time and not have others get cockblocked out, it would be great! Have a small LS of 9, and very limited nights that everyone is available. Planning to enter and finding out that another group just entered 15 minutes before you and that group refusing to let us simply enter and do the 2 Attestation NM's we needed sucks =( The level of distrust created in this game is amazing to me at this point, not that I don't understand the groups reluctance to let us in... oh well... I guess at least I don't have to kill 3000 mobs or something absurd...
