After the update pup is amazing in merits, i ran an ls merit party the other day, one person came pup. no one beat his pup in the parse, and we were killing so fast that even with only 1 DD roll, Exp Roll, and pulling from below we still ran out of birds which lost us our chain a couple times.

Your DD will not always have 60%+haste from gear/buffs. especially when spaces in a party are limited, or you have limited manpower.

If you want to theorycraft about best possible situations and how that makes pup less than other dd's go ahead. but keep your condescending attitude and perfect scenario's out of threads where people are trying to actually get some real information.

I like how you quote something about tank vs DD and argue about something totally different.

faf can be tanked by almost any melee with proper brd support, the same almost goes for hydra, however I see a big X on the rest of the HNM group.

Salvage bosses have pritty low evasion, everyon can fucking hit them. Try hitting jorm with your monk seriously... hate holding = X

maybe if you were lowmanning it. Ability to cast shadows and do some damage means nothing to tanking when you can't get hate back.

Does anything actually think a monk could hold hate through a SC MB? lol?

Meh, I'd say they'd mostly be limited to the same things SAM and WAR are(which are situations you'd use DRK, of course).

For arguments sake,

If someone theoretically had enough thieves that rotated trick attack WSes into the party to plant hate on the melee and had a specific person they would collaborator, in conjunction to whatever abilities the melee has available. I don't see how it wouldn't be possible

So that was your argument against monk ¿ You can't find a LS that kills fafnir with less than 12 gimps, therefore monk can't tank it ? I bet I could tank any hnm on PUP with double march with thieves trick attacking me ...
