The bombing 'assault' is in fact soloable- just finished it. It's not exactly hard, just requires some luck. If you can avoid tiger aggro for most of it without having to stop and possibly lose flee, it's simply a matter of always going exactly the direction that the explosion smoke tells you to. There's two npcs in particular that it's really easy to skip because there's another visible one that's almost in the direction of the smoke, but not quite. Each of them just blows smoke back the way you came, so you double back to the npc you're tempted to go to to start with. Ignore all the ensigns, of course.

If you don't skip any and keep running, only takes about 9 minutes to make the full circuit, meaning there's 2-3 shots at it per attempt. Took me 4 shots total to make it work, ultimately.

More than likely, and that'd even it to 12 8 4 bombs.

THANK YOU X1000 FOR THE TIPS

Just soloed it. The mission is designed to be soloed. You just can't miss any NPCs, you must hit them perfectly in order.

    THANKS!!!

Final mission is vs two purple mages (Spitewardens)! They can do a move like mammets transmorgafication. NPC attacked Aquila both times we went so I pulled Haudrale off to side and tanked him while rest of party killed other. Once you fighting last one he tends to spam Savage Swordhand AOE knock back (800~900+ damage) amnesia. Has very high enspell damage (+130) on Haudrale and hit for 100+ physical unblocked on pld, don't know about Aquila. Not a push over bc but not insane hard either.

    No reward though D:

managed to kill one of them with blm/whm and whm/sch but the whm accedently hit one of the mobs and it screwed it up. Might be duoable if exceptionally hardcore.

Anyone is allowed to help with Windurst. If all else fails just pay people to help you.

Protip for windurst: PLD/RDM diaga everything and tank with phalanx, everyone else all-out damage the mobs.

Just barely killed with 5, RDM WHM BLM BLU WAR.

I'd like to say that while Haudrale isn't that bad, Aquila is a jerk. Not only does he have an AoE paralyze weaponskill, but at times he spontanously starts absorbing physical damage like mammets, signaled by him shouting.

Plus, he casts too fast for a single stunner to keep up.

    My experiences..

Bifrons fight can be pretty easy zerged. My pt lost a member after a failed attempt and then decided to do SAM SAM BRD BLM RDM/DRK
CS stun + SV buffs. BLM for ES Sleepga II. Battle ended ridiculously fast. Only Bifrons needs to die..

As for the Throne Room BC
It's actually pretty challenging. I'd imagine its difficulty in any normal setup but my pt was at 5 so we went with the Cure bomb tactic.

3 RDMs and 2 WHMs just curebombing Lilisette while she took down the 2 NMS. We never engaged Haudrale and he died first, but Aquila we decided to dot and nuke in the later half.

Aquila is the harder one to be honest, cos of his Ga III spam and sleepga. For the most part he wasn't a problem because he'd just cast. I think this might have something to do with his Enspells but he started physically attacking people later into the fight and it was pretty damaging stuff.

Also, Altair Bullet is a really wide AoE attack that causes damage (very little iirc) and inflicts Paralyna. Absorbed by 2 shadows tho..

Using the curebomb method we won with like 5 minutes left on the clock. Slow but i'd say very much safer.. and useful that everyone can sneak/vis himself on the way to the Throne Room. That part alone too longer than the BC lol.

Can you explain the positioning used if going for the cure bomb way. Should everyone stay stacked together or should you spread out? Overall I spent about 10 hours on this fight the past few days, one of the harder fights they have put out so far.

Haudrale's AoE seems to be a radial AoE centered on himself; you can easily stay out of range just by curing at max casting range.

Aquila's AoE seems to be a conal AoE, hitting very far in a 180% cone in front of him. If you stand behind him, even if it's to the side, I think you can dodge it.

Either that, or it's a radial AoE centered on the target, which I'm not completely sure about.

Something to note, whatever Enspell Aquila casts on himself will be the ga3 he casts next. There's a dialogue associated with his Enspell casting, I just can't remember it. I don't know if its 100%, I only saw/looked for it twice (Cast Enwater->Waterga3, Cast Enaero->Aeroga3). In fact I didn't even see him ever hit me with an Enspell either haha, he's quirky.

As for positioning in the BCNM, I'd just try to have all your healers spread out around the circle with Lilisette in the middle curing. Every time I've done the BCNM she's chosen Haudrale first, which is pretty easy-- but from curing her we've always gotten Aquila to kite/occupy during her killing of Haudrale. Therefore, to minimize Sleepga2/Ga3 casualties, its best just to keep people spread imo

Rocl, do they have a lot of HP? Because, I was thinking if they didn't have a lot of HP that the final BC could be zergable?

I'm not 100% certain, I've only let Lilisette kill them, and I have her damage filtered. One of the BLMs I did it with the first time nuked down Aquila at ~5%, I think a T4 (or AM2?) did like ~3%. That's all I can give you, my memory is fuzzy as it was like 3 AM.

Quick and short overview for people doing missions:
    - First "Battle" is a lot like Blitzkrieg except the mobs have more HP. Instead of Mamools mixed in, there are Arch demons (These you have to take seriously)

    - Second "Battle" you want 2-3 runners (We had three since the two kept missing one of the NPCs). If you don't find all of them and flee wears off, don't talk to the NPCs yet. Find the ones you missed and mark them or memorize where they are. Follow the explosions. If you have more than 2-3 people, the rest can go around killing tigers.

    - Third battle, manaburn/zerg is best. You need a sleeper to keep the orcs from attacking though. We killed using BLM SCH RDM as nukers and had a PLD + WAR attack the Bifrons. Ours was mix and match, so I assume a full out TP burn or Manaburn (Much better) works.

    - Fourth battle, cure bomb Lillisette. Stand at max distance from both her and the NM. In other words, X=Lili R=Mob [You X R]. She tends to go after Haudrale first, but we had an incident where she started attacking Aquilas midfight (Possibly due ot hate shift on him). Haudrale's AoE is high DMG (~900) and Aquila's AoE does 400-600DMG and Paralyze. Hence, try to be out of range of their AoE at all costs. Aquilas acts like most ranged attack monsters in that until 50% HP, he will do nothing but stand there and cast on you. Your options are either to cure bomb Lili through Aga3 or to stun Aquilas and risk getting hate. We used stun since he just casts and you can cure yourself between his TIV/Aga3s (Unless you're Taru).

Just won the last fight with 5, 2 whm/sch, rdm/drk, rdm/whm, and blm/whm, won taking 19 mins. I was one of the RDM, used Dia 3 and slow on them occasionally to help it along. We did stun GAs.

Was so much easier cure bombing, then trying to tank it and use melee. If you going to do this fight and everyone has a mage job I would go for cure bomb way for sure.
