I'm trying to get the OAT gun nevertheless sooner or later and see what performs better overall.

with cyclone only being a WS with mainhand... might this effect it since the offhand dagger doesnt actually perform the WS?

If anyone's run the numbers, do share please. It feels like there's a thousand dagger combinations and I have no idea which will be optimal.

Depending what your other gear options are, it seems really damn hard to beat 30 acc from weapons alone + 12 dex for your sa's and de's.

Ya the Dex daggers are pretty powerful. I like the Auric/Dex however personally. Auric/Str dagger when capped on Acc.

You can also have the level-syncee be well out of exp range and never level up and keep getting magian points for these. I did that with "Any great katana ws on aquans" on qufim crabs while sync'd to a character at the Jeuno zoneline. Neither gets xp, but allows you to stay in the same area for the whole trial. I'll be doing it again for other trials I'm working on soon.

I tested this and can confirm it does NOT work on trials requiring kills of certain mob families.

Optimal tp set up for daggers:

Top cream of the crops:

Low acc situation: Acc kila + offhand OAthrice

High Acc: Auric + offhand OAThrice

Therefor if you have Auric Id say go for eviscration fusetto because you can only have one of the two.

Its important when looking at these daggers not to just look at current stats.

Do recall we still have 19 levels worth of trials to go, so what could be weapon A barely outclassing weapon B could quickly turn into weapon A clearly being beaten by far superior weapon B.

Take last update for example, who in their right mind would choose the low damage OAT dagger over the high damage?

Get 10 items boom added damage, swee- oh wait, flash forward to this update and suddenly the "weaker" version quickly surpassed the "sronger" version.

In other words, look at the weapon not just as it currently is, but its potential at later trials. What happens if a previously weakest version of multi hit gets more and more hits added onto it? What happens if that "Waste of gil" scythe or polearm or whatever gets all the way up to OA4 or OA5?


Personally Im just getting them all. mutli hit parazonium, working on twashtar, and have the fusetto almost done on top of soon multiple Kilas.

The trouble is, we have no way of knowing what future updates will bring. Getting a shit weapon now because the next set of trials "might" pimp it out makes little sense when you consider that the next set may also pimp out the currently better weapons.

This worked fine on my bee trial. Was synced and I was doing bee pets and they were too far away but I got kills to count.

... First of all, that's not true. Reason being, secondly, that certain weapons have the Rare tag. The OA2, OA3, and DA+ weapons (e.g., Ursine Claws, Parazonium, Enchu) are all Rare, as are the high damage options. You can have as many of the element-aligned weapons as your heart desires, though, provided no two are currently registered to the same trial. I presently have a pair of Kuina, for instance.

Has anyone really been looking at the Axes much? I'm thinking more for War and the one that stands out as a good mainhand (probably the best until the empyrean gets stats) is the DA one. Apart from that I was thinking either 2-3 att, acc, or str/att offhand.

That's really where the dilemma is to me acc has a fair a bit lower damage than the str/att axe. Also with people's testing of the 2-3 att weapons are they worth it for War or will you be getting diminished returns because of the DA?

You'll want either the DA+7 Axe main-hand and the STR/Atk Axe offhand or the STR/Atk Axe main hand and the OAT axe offhand.

Tried this yesterday for H2H trial on goobues in Pashow under lightning weather, synced to 30. Syncee was at OP, I was a way away and got no credit for kills at all.
Ended up having to have the syncee /follow me everywhere.
