I could see a magic WS being given the ability to crit, but really, we'd have to see what his TP returns were like to determine if the variance was due to crits or hits missing. I kinda hope it's magical to some degree since physical WS are a bit more difficult to pump up on lolrdm, and for some reason SE saw fit to deprive them of Sanguine Blade without WAR/DRK/PLD/BLU subs. I know I was curious about this WS since I was thinking about maybe making the sword for my BLU and RDM. Sounds like it's a little better than SB, but weaker than a cracked out Vorpal. Then again, that may change if mods are found. I get the feeling it's gonna be physical, though.
BLU who completed is Bazek on Leviathan server, so you could try asking them. Forgot to include their name in my post.
Also, little more SC info from them: Evisceration >>> Zorro = Darkness. Shark Bite >>> Zorro = Distortion.
Light/Distortion then. Better opening WS for self-Darkness is nice I guess but meh... Think I'll pass on this one.
Damage for Chant du Cygne on the slime bosses in WoE Conflux #2 was 539-1003, averaging out to 732.88. For some comparison, I'm a mediocre lv. 80 DRK/NIN, and my Guillotines were 701~1773, averaging out to 1029 (only external buff was yellow curry bun, rest had mixed usage of LR/SE).
Also, kparser is treating the WS as JA damage, not WS damage, so if you get a new WS and don't see it under the WS setting, check JA damage.
I'd play with mods before writing it off completely.
There's some Rudra's Storm numbers posted in a thread on ffxiah forums. http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/14...-storm/#886462
beats mercy stroke....good lord
The question is, is it worth using without SA or TA? Nearly impossible to productively stack SA/TA with WS with haste buffs.
I wouldn't call it nearly Impossible, you get a 2 Second window, so long as you're not slacking off its easy as hell to SA or TA WS.
(If you're talking about the time you have 100% TP with both timer's down, I don't know, good point)
I believe I read somewhere, I think it was here but not sure, that there were maths that showed it's actually more beneficial for a srsthf with good gear builds to seperate SA, TA and WS. Reasoning behind it being that a thf with good/seperate, SA, TA and WS builds will do more dmg using the abilities solo and just spamming TP whenever they hit 100%, only stacking if timers/TP happen to line up. Since a thf should be able to hit 100 TP more then once every 30 secs, and a solo SA or TA will do more dmg than it will boost a WS.
Don't really remember if this was shown to be valid or not because idkbroimnotthf, but it seems reasonable to me. This was also well before the lvl caps were raised and all these new WS became available.
Yes you should rarely if ever be holding TP on THF. Solo SA/TA + ws spam will out damage it by a large amount unless you happen to be lucky on some SA/TA timers while having 100tp.
You should know by far that his tests are retarded by BG standards... and the gear he used for those simpleton tests [you never go FULL RETARD,] are completely gimp as well. Give it a day or two for a real THF.
This by far. Rudra could be very interesting, as well as the rest lot of WS.
still waiting for jax to post about his axe WS.
