That's kinda strange. WS overall damage was won by kaiten by quite a bit. I wasn't expecting that. But melee wise it beat amano by over 7k. probably has to do with him using a 6 hit over 5 hit and also the lower haste but still, he won melee wise <_< Leads me to believe ODD isn't on WS because kaiten doesn't get that and it won. But now bids the question, imagine masamune in the hands of a haste capped 5 hit sam :X

yea. I believe it's that offense detail tab if i rememebr right. If that's not it, there's another window you can check to see, just dont remember the name (it's been a while and I'm at work so can't check.)

Man SE really loves Sam big time. Not only is it sounding like Fudo is the best WS out of these weapons so far Masamune is pretty much the easiest of them to get. I've said it before but SE really needs to re-examine the difficulty of getting some of these weapons. In comparison to Ukonvasara, Redemption, or Verethragna it's a complete and utter joke.

Uh. Blade: Hi is looking like pure win, Victory Smite is sitting pretty, Ukko's Fury is yet another option in the WAR multi-hit arsenal, the little we've heard about Torcleaver sounds amazing, Rudra's Storm is competitive, Wildfire is a solid addition to CORs arsenal, Camlann's Torment sounds like an upgrade on Wheeling and Tachi: Fudo is win? Not seeing the SAM love from SE unless you mean playerbase love.

The only reason we've seen Masamune finished first is because SAM is a popular job. Caladbolg has the same requirements but who'd be willing to take a gamble on GSWD after Herculean Slash and the overall mediocrity of the class? If Torcleaver really is what little we've heard of it, I expect to see one finished soon.

Really, with more data coming out on the new WS the only weapons fucked are going to be that small handful you mentioned that are connected to Tahrongi (the Dynamis-Windurst of its era). Even with that, you can still obtain your WoE equivalent and have something worth mentioning.

I am still waiting for new WS that is usable for all weapons. I am pretty sure between lvl 85 and 99 there is going to be 1 or 2 more WS. And if SE makes any sense at all, the lvl 99 WS should be pretty powerful.

...Wow... That's horrible! Even Dancer's 100% JSE Ammo off the iron giant is a 5% boost! So, consensus is that OADD doesn't work on WS, or does? Parse leaves the possibility open, but it seems people have said both things. Also, get that boy (or girl) some Haste gear! What the shit is an 18% 6-hit about?

So. Yea. Kamome, the katana that ninja was offhanding for Blade: Hi is basically an X's Knife for Ninja.

Had a friend who has it test it with the same ranged attack on bunnies. 165 crit went to 181. And unless my 2nd grade math is failing me, that's 10% crit dmg bonus.

And because it is significantly easier to do than other weapons. Look at how few NMs you need to kill to get pops for carabosse: 2. Now look at other weapons, war needs 6 NMs to pop glavoid, drk, drg and mnk need 8 NMs to pop chloris. If you're farming pops from chests sam still only needs 2 vs other jobs needing 4. Sam has to do far less work to upgrade their weapon.

Ya as Merc.turtle pointed out it's the fact that Carabosse only requires 2 key items to pop. I was mind boggled when the first one was finished until I had someone point out how easy it was to farm Carabosse pops.

Abyssea-Tah and Abyssea-Kon (Fistule arguably isn't too bad if you're lucky) just seem inexplicably more difficult to get the Empyrean tier trophies. In all fairness the droprate should be about 3-4 times as many that drop off Carabosse not to mention the fights are like night and day. Carabosse is pretty much a joke in comparison to Glavoid. I do agree that there's obviously a big push for Sam to get Masamunes because how popular the job is but if the situation was reversed just due to time constraints we might not have seen one as early as we did.

I'm assuming those 4.4-4.7 are DAs on weak(ish) mobs when you have zerk/red bun/chaos/300%tp and so on. I was fully expecting to see some 8K+ WS, but doesn't look like this is the case, or its very very rare.

It was against VT mob in abyssea in a pick up pt with no brd or cor but red curry and was prolly a triple attack since I was using N mail. Not sure about tp %.
