There's supposedly more pictures of torcleaver on whatever the JP equivalent of BG is, but i have no idea what site it is. Just saying "my jp friend says it does this" sounds like im pulling it out of my ass so as soon as i can find the site ill post the pics. Anyone know of any prominent jp forums?

Edit: Looking over those numbers again, each quietus beat out that guillotine by a fair margin. Sure guillotine numbers are erratic, but if he can only hit a 600 guillotine, he's probably pulling down the quietus numbers hard too.

Random fudo's on my shiny new weapon, got a 5 hit going so my ws set is pretty nasty till I go into it. Atma of the sellsword and cruror buffs. my lows never went into 3 digits, and was hitting a nice 1800 average. Have not used it outside yet, gonna try it out in WOE tomorrow. Behold my cropping skillz.

Random fudo's on my shiny new weapon, got a 5 hit going so my ws set is pretty nasty till I go into it. Atma of the sellsword and cruror buffs. my lows never went into 3 digits, and was hitting a nice 1800 average. Have not used it outside yet, gonna try it out in WOE tomorrow. Behold my cropping skillz.

Forager(cerb+1) might be better for Fudo at least for those situation when berserk is not up/no minuets/no drk roll/no stalwart drink.

I just created this account really because I have had access to quietus for a few days now and am willing to post some raw data for interpretation, if someone would care to let me know what to post exactly.
Im afraid my DRK is merely a "toy" job for me, i usually only get to play mages, and is therefore somewhat gimped. But hopefully i can provide some data for you guys.

For start do 2-3 WS on mob outside town then do 2-3 with sneak attack then post what was you STR and MND and damage. It wont tell anything about mods yet but will confirm dmg from above pictures.

wild rabbits outside sandy are a popular choice, level 1. I'd try what atoreis said on those. Not completely ready to throw my hands in the air about quietus until we get more concrete info, those numbers posted seemed really off. To pull a 600 dmg guillotine at 85 against a soft mob life a wolf says something.

Oh yeah do it on 100TP then similar sample on 200 and 300 if possible. Maybe it has some ridiculous fTP modifiers at 200 and 300 (I bet someone still have hope for that :D)

Dont do 200 300 I forgot it has no dmg up with TP but amount ignored.

What you can do now is add like 30 str and do few more on 100tp then add 10-20mnd and few more.

Oh and concerning SCs, the first times i used it as i got 85 in my abyssea lowman, it closed darkness off Wildfire, and i think Distortion off Victory Smite.

Did anyone take into account that this jp drk could possibly suck? I didn't see any ss of his gear.

@Oblit - I was wondering if you are so happy from MNK and doing 4k Ascetic why you need Masamune at all? :D

On a more serious note, my Ascetic's fury is only averaging 2k. The 4k AFury was fully buffed with Stalwart's, double SV Minuet(while Hundred fisting).

So what does all this mean? In truth when i first tried it as soon as i got it in abyssea, with just the sellsword atma and +45 stats from cruor buffs i was somewhat disappointed, the dmg was more or less the same as guillotine.
But im perserving as my drk is still gimp on scythe skill and still acquiring a few pieces that could help quietus more if its got more potent mods perhaps.

The thing is, if you feel you are gimped in skill and gear, this WS should do particularly well for you based on the description. Guillotine will actually have higher upside as your gear and skill get better. This pretty much gives scythe lovers an option on tougher mobs.

Campaign mobs are unusual (which is what that screenshot is on); despite their general weakness def/eva-wise, I never see any amazing weaponskills against them. Certainly a ~600 Guillotine average is WAY under what you'd expect from an 85 DRK on mobs with about the "strength" of a campaign mob, so I wouldn't take those numbers literally.
