Yes, anything with guard can possibly guard a weaponskill.

I cannot post a screenshot at the moment, but the MNK in my abyssea group uses victory smite for very very nice damage. Along the same lines as Tachi: Fudo, if not better.

Has anyone seen/heard anything about Jishnu's Radiance? Working on it atm but coins are rough lotting in the PUGs as Decays go into GKT upgrades as well ._.
Why couldnt it be Ruin... ive tossed like 3 pouches of those ;x

Cant post em at the moment simply because i never bothered to screen his WSs, and he doesnt have the crit atma because we havent gotten around to kill that higher tier of NM yet. Buffs are usually chaos/minuet on both our fudo sam and VS mnk. And both do consistant WSs of 1.8k to 2.4k ish while killing standard mobs.

Crit atma would prolly put that 4-5k range if it has the same effect as it does on Ascetic's fury

2010-10-13 11:05 #2909It is the same with everything staff related. Kukulkan Fangs and Sedna Tusks are just for Staff. Lieje Lanterns and Bakka Wings are just for staff. I don't know if SE is hinting that every mage is going to want a completed Empyreal Staff (I really can't even guess, because every mage won't want a completed OAT Staff) but I can't bring myself to work on a melee weapon for my mage jobs when there are so many currently useful staves I haven't completed. Well if we talking about WS dmg I should mention my friend on Ninja with Chloris Atma and kikoku did ~2850 Jin. Assuming he would add RR for this it would break 4k. Originally Posted by Diane

So fudo being amazing I've decided to invest my time into masamune. I can trio box the following combo:
Player 1: Every job 75-85, 85 MNK, SAM, BRD, WHM, RDM, all DD atma's that are useful
Player 2: Mnk 85, Sam 85, Brd 75, All useful DD atma's
Player 3: 85 RDM, BRD, DRK, THF, No useful DD atmas Durian refresh and turul.
Anyone know a good decent combo for carabosse spam. I'm thinking Brd Mnk Rdm myself. Already got 14 gems, and about 8 lanterns, So hoping it wont take too long.

I'm still 27/30 on Coin of Birth going on 4 days because WoE hates me. I'm a career DRK with good/great gear typical of the job, both TP set and WS set, so I'm going to reserve judgment until I use the WS first hand. Or, until someone else with equal/better gear uses it. A JPN barely breaking 600 with Guillotine on Campaign mobs isn't exactly the best gauge for a new WS. The only other info we have is from Diane who admitted they aren't a full time DRK.
So anyway I wouldn't write off this WS just yet. A terrible SAM could've gotten Fudo first and misled everyone into thinking it sucked, too. I'm gonna go WS a few Campaign mobs if I get a chance and take note of the numbers, because 600 at 85 seems extremely low.

hmmm those naked numbers seem quite a bit higher than Quietus lol >.> Time to work on Torcleaver lol?
Im also very surprised at the tachi fudo numbers im seeing here. Our SAM may put out those numbers on occasion, but they are not consistently that high and reflect perhaps crits or DA procs and we definately do see some 3 digit WSs, as well as many low to mid 1000s.
His WS set is basically identical, str in the +70s fighting with minuet and chaos roll, except where dispel/absorbs happen. But 3k+ on heqet? Didnt come anywhere near that close with just sellsword atma.

This is The +1 woe version of the weapon, T3 chamber, can see a few of the other woe weapons in there too, I am very happy with the dmg this thing kicked out, if only I could have gotten fighters roll....
