The question was asked a bit above, but hasn't been answered. Does anyone know which gorgets work for wildfire. Right now I've been using Light Gorget because I thought "Oh look fire damage, it must be either fusion or light". But then, I made darkness with Fudo >> Wildfire...so I'm hoping its Light/Distortion, Light/Gravitation, or Dark/Fusion, otherwise I need a new gorget sigh...

If you made fudo ->> wildfire -> darkness then Wildfire is 100% Graviatation so use Soil or shadow if im not mistaken on gorgets.

It's Gravitation and Soil Gorget is the correct option. Light Gorget has zero effect on Wildfire, I don't have Shadow but it should work as well.

Uggy was also best for Primal Rend.

light and dark don't allow 4 elements to work, they allow light and dark to work

has this been confirmed? i've looked at several japanese sites and they all list only the lv2 SC elements for these weapon skills being applied to these gorgets (so say, fudo, light/distortion, would only work with ice/water)

Rukenshin checked this for relic WS years ago and it was indeed so that it would only work with gorgets that matched with the lv2 skillchain properties. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same for these empyrean weaponskills.

Does anyone know the skillchain properties of Chant du Cygne? Just finished my Badelaire+1 and not sure what gorget to use. I read it closed Light but off what? And I'd need the low level SC properties anyways I think.

Easy way to verify would be to PLD/SAM. Chant > Chant should make Light and Chant > Swift Blade should make Darkness. I think.

How much do these empyrean weaponskills average on damage numbers outside of abyssea or basically without atma? Was wondering if they can skillchain level 3 twice in a row like relics too.

Lately I been farming nonstop at JP time since I have 2 jobs for the last 5 months so I got all this gil built up and still can't decide if spharai or Verethragna is better. I guess I will continue to farm gil till march 2011 when hopefully the level 99 cap will be out by then. I would never get 2 relics of the same weapon type, I would rather help a friend get his cause im not greedy, so I wanna pick one.

They might make a new weaponskill for the relic weapons at 99 and make the abyssea ones unlockable after 500 weaponskills so I do not want to be thrown a curve ball at lvl 99.

Anyways.... The counter on level 99 spharai sounds too sexy to pass up How do you like your weapon appie?
