Has anyone noticed a hidden Enmity down trait with Gandiva or the WS? Like the relics. I don't know if many people have the bow yet. If you always do high damage like in the screenshot from before and are pulling massive hate I wouldn't think it would be a good option.

No clue, I have no /ra jobs and no clue how ranged critrate is calculated. I can add another couple hundred hits tomorrow if needed.

Is Chant du Cygne worth it for any of the jobs that can use it? Can RDM get some good use out of it or is it mostly a BLU or PLD tool? I remember seeing a screenshot in the 2k range, but I don't think it had any real testing done with it; it could have been just a screenshot of their largest damage WS.

From what I've seen, it usually averages right around 1,500 from a PLD, and has occasional spikes upward of 2200-3000. I've seen a few 4k's as well, but those were in Abyssea with shitloads of +crit stuff.

Definitely worth it for PLDs (and likely BLU, too, I assume), not sure about RDM though.

It's worth it. If you're averaging 1500, then you're either outside of Abyssea or don't have RR. Put whichever job in a good DD party with proper buffs/gear and 3k shouldn't be unreasonable, but averages should be more in the low/mid-2k with spikes, as noted earlier, of over 4.5k (from a RDM). Regardless, it's the best sword WS for damage out there right now and my experience with it has only been from hanging with someone with the WoE version. Still need the coins for my own.

Probably is DEX, but he'd been focusing more on STR and ATK. DEX just came incidentally on things like Rajas, Warwolf, and Tumbler's. Whether or not to use Alky's has been a sticking point for him and when I was tinkering with him he was using the wrong gorget, I believe. Haven't really had the chance to talk to him the past week or so, though. Think gear was Ogre Mask+1, (wrong gorget), Suppa, Brutal, Assault Jerkin, Alky, Strigoi, Rajas, Forager's, Warwolf, Tumbler, Ogre Ledelsens+1. At the time, I think he was also getting 2 attack songs from a mid-level BRD that was mooching EXP. Also /NIN with Dia III on.

Personally interested in what a pimp PLD can do with this. Grim Cuirass alone does what it takes RDM like 3-4 slots to do amongst STR/ATK on top of slightly higher ATK from skill and base STR. While both jobs can use the viking helm/gloves, I'm not sure if the combined ACC loss is something they could afford even with RR on some mobs. PLD at least has Heca as a fallback for decent STR and DEX on top of that.

Z Mail should beat Cuirass for using it on Pld no? Str/Dex/Crit, no attack but can try making up for it in other areas. Even in an ideal setup for Rdm I imagined there's little to no Dex but you can stack a decent amount amount of attack/accuracy if you have several r/ex drops but not having crit gear/actual melee traits/'real' melee gear not all jobs most of the time hurts Rdm using it, but it's still better than anything else Rdm gets and I'd work on one just because of that.

Zahak's slipped my mind and I would imagine is a candidate for PLD. Honestly, if I could actually manage to harass my LS into doing WoE runs without the fear of leeches, I'd probably level my PLD up from 37 just to get a tri-job comparison amongst the classes. Might be a bitch getting some of the DD things I'd need for PLD in this case, but c'est la vie. Maybe I'll have better luck and win Almace from the Bonanza, heh.

I had took a 5-6 month break from the game, trying to catch up on information but so much has changed in ffxi since I left...Finally AV is being killed a lot...anyways. Ive been seeing screenshots of the new final weapons and wses in abysseaa doing ridiculous damage that I dont remember seeing numbers like that in this game when I used to play lol. Im assuming those numbers only exist in the abyssea world? Im just trying to find out how does Masamune fair to Amano outside Abyssea? Havent found a post yet specifically speaking about it, still searching.

Fudo's not a crit weaponskill so if it's destroying Kaiten inside abyssea it's probably destroying it outside abyssea as well.

Relics are pretty much dead and buried (for now, at least).
