Getting lanterns isnt as easy as you think. You have to get ppl to kill the easy NM and get pop items from the easy common chests but you have to be consistant and you have to have people PASS these lanterns to you. Everyone is gonna have a hard time accepting the fact that you will be lotting the next 50 lanterns and with your crying about how you have no gil and how you couldn't afford sushi or pizza or any food for the Fiat Lux BCNM which caused us to wipe at 1% back at level 75 on our first day run. I even offered you pizza while I was at the AH and you were waiting in the fait lux line and you said you couldnt afford it. You refused to get an HQ food over an NQ cause the extra 3k was too "expensive". I should have been the better man and gave you a free food so we could win.

20 hecates later and 1 being brought for 10,000,000 gil by mistake from a guy later..... I gotten over the Fiat Lux first run fiasco. But if Lamprey lord is your cockblock on the masamune.... then you have no idea whats coming. Get ONE carabosses gem (which isn't hard to do but is for someone like you), then talk some masamune.

Imo it depends. If he cant get ppl for LL I highly doubt he will get good for other part so frog can be really a problem for him. Sure you can solo it on RDM (and probably NIN/dnc DNC/nin and BLM and etc.) but that require clean pull and having none other group camping frog. Getting Orobon is much easier from ... Orobon. If he gonna solo both another factor is KI w/o ruby !! are like 50% now and getting trigger for Orobon w/o THF is really a pain. If he only have SAM and RDM its much easier to find duo for Carabosse NMs then Cirein NMs. I agree its much easier to find ppl or just solo Cirein but its not need to be truth for pop set.

Not always the case. While the main thing I always factor is how much I'm willing to help the person, if they don't make my "I'll always help this person" list, then it becomes conditional, such as "How much fun will I have doing this" "How tedious is this", etc. VNMs is one thing I hate in that example because there's a lot more running around involved than anything, which I hate doing. So if you're someone I'm borderline willing to help, something I hate isn't going to tip the scale in your favor.

Which is pretty much my whole point? I mean c'mon, we all know VNMs are shitty, but you shouldn't just stand there going "someone help plz. someone help plz. someone help plz". Offer something in return. Call in past favors. Rely on people's positive feelings towards you. There's some things I wouldn't wanna help with for some people, but for others I would. If you don't have someone in-game willing to help you with such shitty things, then what are your people skills like?

From just what Zag has said, Mal is doing it totally wrong. feels like one of those stage 3 amano's who did not even think to look up the req's for stage 4 and 5 and when its shown to em hes like " i could never afford that " if you dont have good friends you HAVE to have money, and work ethic. and seeing as this nigga said an extra 3k or an hq food is EXPENSIVE he's in the wrong department. The game doesnt need another half-asser with a toy they wont use properly.

I'm normally not a hater, I usually a motivator... But he was crying for years that he could not afford a hagun and how bad hagun looked like it sucked anyways. But when Hagun dropped to 200k, he was saying how good hagun was. The only notable drops he got was maats cap from astral flow burning and a lucky lot 950+ on shadow lord body. The rest of his gear is casual at best and hes been playing for over 6 years.

Personally started toward a WoE weapon knowing I could solo the coins eventually (the leeching epidemic was a bit of an unplanned variable, though) and I knew getting help for the VNMs themselves would be the actual hard part. Basically took a combination of finding people in my shell who may have needed similar, shouting if I had the time, and throwing the request out there post-event in hopes of more bites during our active times. Of which one the leaders finally said, "Help them." I'm not really one to guilt trip or keep tabs on "favors" to call in, but it can be frustrating knowing you've helped others with lots of stuff, just for them to feign idle or busy when something that's of no benefit to them needs done. Such is largely why I made the one Magian suggestion in the "What do we want" thread. I mean, plowing through for a Masamune is great for the guy who gets the Masamune, but if you figure a dozen people consistently helped over that span, I doubt they'll all have their own Empyreans with any kind of expediency.

Perhaps, but for the people I know working on Empys, we all help each other with pops in a kind of static group, and offer people AF3+2 items if one of us does a random, unscheduled pop. If you have people regularly helping you but you're not working on an Empy for them, are you helping them with other things in return? Or maybe they simply enjoy the fight and wanna be helpful!

Everyone has their reasons, sure. I just can't bring myself to trust players to be 100% fair in the absence of in-game point systems. For example, one of our shell leaders is totally daft to the wants of mages. So every single run he organizes is usually melee-centric with the same people getting stuck on their mage jobs while the usual melees are given priority to the loot acquired. I actually brought this up with one of the other leaders a few days back since I've typically been one of those mages who's seen very little in way of upgrades. Only +2 I have are BLU legs... if I could actually get seals for the +1! Which is fucking hilarious since the T1 pops (yes, multiple!) that drops those seals is by the Masamune item dropper. Whether or not anything comes of the observation, I dunno. All I know is that I maybe play every other night, and while I do stuff for myself on downtime (grind trials, etc.), it's not like I haven't helped the shell while around. I'm just not the mindless slave drone.

Honestly, if I knew there was a greener pasture out there, I'd probably jump ship without hesitation. I'd wanted to pre-Abyssea when I dropped Aion, but nothing really jumped out at me since you'd still have to battle pre-established cliques, priority orders, or the whole "proving yourself" trial BS. The shell I joined way back when is certainly different than the shell of today. And while the game has changed for the better, I'm not so sure the people have since it's just easier to be greedy with less bodies required.

What is the big problem really.. if you seriously don't have one or two competent friends who can go help you out for half an hour, then shout for people and pay them to do it. Seeing as hagun enm has always been a horrible (NO HAGUN FOR YOU) nazi i dont see why he couldnt just solo that shit.. Totally off topic but how fucking EASY has that enm ALWAYS BEEN? ive seen amano-less AH sams with NQ arhats pwn that shit.

I've noticed some people have it on their WS set but i'd have to get one, and i tossed all my organs (yovra included lol) back when scars came out to make space >_<. Wouldn't be too hard to farm more, but want to make sure its worthwhile. Also i'm probably forgetting but what legs should i be using for WS, and would the cavaros mantle be better for ws, or that +5AGI Back?

I know its a lot of questions, but i still need to do a lot of testing... was hoping maybe someone else had already worked out some baseline testing for me to refer too. Again- i tried doing search; but most of the results were speculation or people talking out of their ass w/o kannagi so idk

Can't have searched that hard, mods and WSC have been posted several times and it's even on otherwiki...

Also ITT: you need a weapon to do math for it.

Tumbler Trunks or Ambusher's Hose over Byakko's Haidate. Not sure how Iga back compares to older options but the new attack + DA back should comfortably beat it... go AGI/Epona's in the ring slot. Aesir may beat Drone depending on pDIF/WSC. Gorget should beat torque, and Anguinus will generally be better than Crudelis.

Also, is kclub really worth it nowadays?

EDIT: If I'm thinking this through properly, RR + GH + SS may be the best atma combo for Kannagi. Given that critdmg+ would be capped as a result, AF3+2 body beats Loki's Kaftan. That also suggests you should WS in a different ammo with Sanguine Scythe active.
