If the first trial puts you off, then I would advise not to do this quest![]()
- Farming leeches in pashow marshlands if you can find someone to level sync to around level 30 and if you got a PL to keep you alive then this is very quickly done compared to the other quests heh.
The last part with the sabotenders and before that the undead family kills, THOSE are annoying and took me long time.
Note! 2 reasons I level synced at 72:
1. Octave Clubs works :D
2. + I'm pretty sure the Beetles at the Camp I went to at least didnt give exp @ level 75.
This is what I did:
164:
Defeat a set Number of experience yielding monster under the prescribed weather conditions:
100 Leech family
Weather: fire,ice,wind,earth,thunder,water,light,dark
Quest1: Leeches @ Level sync 30 Pashow Marslands w. PL
190
Defeat a set Number of experience yielding monster under the prescribed weather conditions:
100 Beetle
Weather: ice,earth,water,dark
Quest2: Beetles @ level sync 72 w. Octave Club DRK in Quicksand Caves
197
Defeat a set number of exp mobs under the pre. Weather conditions or on the corresponding day:
100 monsters of any family
Weather OR day: Earth
Quest3: Beetles and Antica @ level sync 72 w. Octave Club DRK in Quicksand Caves.
198
Defeat a set number of exp mobs under the pre. Weather conditions or on the corresponding day:
100 Vermin type creatures
Weather OR day: Earth
Quest4: Beetles @ level sync 72 w. Octave Club DRK in Quicksand Caves
199:
Defeat a set number of exp mobs under the pre. Weather conditions or on the corresponding day:
150 undead-family
Weather OR day: Earth
Quest5: Undead in Gusgen Mines @ level sync 37 (Notice! Earth Weather is very rare and when its there its only there for 10 minutes? Not long at least, so goal here is to kill as many undead as possible when its earth weather but its gonna take at least 1-2 IRL days...).
200:
Defeat a set number of exp mobs under the pre. Weather conditions or on the corresponding day:
200 Sabotender
Weather OR day: Earth
Quest6: My advice is to go to Kuftal Tunnel with a full skill up PT or AT LEAST 1 healer and 2 Good DD'ers. Since there is no Earth Weather in Kuftal, then you got to do this only on Earth Days. With a good PT, then you should be able to get around 50 kills per Earth day which comes every 8 hour or so.
Good luck to everyone and set aside a week or so IRL for this quest.
on the last trial for the GK OAT weapon, now I just need some krabby shells :X
Syncing seems to be the best way to go about doing a good number of these trials. I've been helping work on some PUP H2H (and he has quite a few he wants to make). Thanks to his auto, we've been able to complete all of his trials with just the 2 of us.
#82 - 100 Skeletons, any weather: Syncing to 57 still makes everything in Xarcabard EP, but you won't get blood agro. Weather is up 90% of the time.
#116 - 100 Crawlers, darkness based weather: Synced in Pashhow to 30 (same as you). Took a bit longer than the previous trial because weather was less frequent, shorter, and half the time it was the wrong one.
#117 - 100 Anything, Iceday or ice weather: Back to Xarcabard. My BST is now 59 as a result of all of the trials (picked up Page 1s each day as well). HQ Carrot Broth highly recommended here.
#118 - 100 Amorphs, Iceday or ice weather: Korroloka Tunnel, synced to 30. We got here a bit late on Iceday, but we managed to get ~80 kills in what was remaining of the day. Went up to Ulegeurand Range to kill the last few and it probably took us about the same amount of time to kill the previous 80.
Working towards #838 myself (15% cure potency staff). Planning on idling in the staff for #828 (100 anything on Lightsday or under light weather) on Nyzul runs, since I usually go as SCH. The treant trial wasn't nearly as bad as I expected since weather is so frequent in Grauberg [S]. The spider one was horrible because weather is less frequent.
Anyone far enough along the 15% cure staff to know if Archiac Ramparts and Chariots = Arcana?
Also, spiders x100 sucks bad.
I've found a 15% Cure potency Staff which I'm sure is mentioned several times in this thread.

Has anyone ever really been so far as to even know what % OAT do more like?
Eh, figured SOMEONE may have tried the soloable OAT version by now, my curious bug itches regarding it.
Best place I've found is Boyahda Tree. Bhaf/Wajaom wind is extremely rare. Kuftal also works but the spiders are slightly higher level. I would check the weather NPCs before you go to either location. Selbina/Rabao check Terrigan; Upper Jeuno check Zi'tah. I only go when it mentions correct weather - otherwise you'll be sitting around doing nothing a lot.
After this one's over it gets easier at least.
I finished 100 spiders last night. While I was helping with h2h trials, I searched Rabao and Mhaura and sent tells to people asking them to check the weather reporter for Cape Terrigan (Kuftal Tunnel) and The Sanctuary of the Zi'Tah (Boyahda Tree). Waiting around for weather is a waste of time in either of these zones. I only left to go to either of these zones if it was a case of "weather with a chance of sunshine" or if there were multiple days in a row where there was a "sunny with a chance of weather". Take friends because weather is short on "chance of weather" days.
I should also point out that during Vana months 5 and 6 it will be nonstop rain in the Li'telor region (see Noble Mold).
Just to say I am reading this thread and going for the gimp version of sword for my off hand on blu (before people rip me harder than a 10 cent condom, just looking for a fun toy, hoping there is a far off chance that the gimps upgrade to 2-4, and meh will take me years to get the HNM version so hey why not have a shiney now).
Drops 0-2, seen all three possibilities, rough estimate is an average of 1 per T3 needing 10 T3 kills. 1-2 days is not right, it's underestimating how long it takes to go from T1 to T2 in a bad streak (one of which is bound to happen if you have to farm 10 T3s). Also, the NM part itself can take upwards of 21 hours per NM if you're unlucky with it. As for Thorny's general gist, yes, one should've finished already, easily. Who the hell is hiding info?
Edit: if you have a LS actively farming VNMs and T3 drops all go to the person most deserving, the 3 NM/400 kills/300 kills part is by far the hardest part. Could get 10 ex drops in less than a day (but the prereqs would still take longer).
1 hour for t1, 3 hours for t2 dualboxing = ~40 hours farming pops + ~4 hours killing them
pay people for a party spot leeching the NMs and get them done while asleep
leaves the ~900 mobs, 15 hours at 1 mob/minute
so about 60 hours of active stuff + another 30 asleep.. guess nobody should be done yet but i still assume someone is closer than i am
