Abyssea didn't fix job bias. People opening their eyes did. I don't see why they would randomly shut them again. Cor/nin could tank Khim fine (and in fact I did it...). Abyssea is not special, just for the first time people are actually seeing it done on a more regular basis. Who cares what was needed for Fafnir when you needed 12+ to reliably claim it and not waste your time. We used DD tanks in Sky anyway though...really, I'm still boggled by the fact people think there's been some huge change to the game. Also, most intelligent leaders (I'm sure they are few and far between) realize that while a War or Sam may outparse a Drk, the bigger difference is not afking, engaging quickly, proper gearswaps, etc...so who cares. No event in this game is even remotely near hard enough that you need to be perfect (except maybe AV at 75, which I think was doable).

The WS is better than Evisceration when stacked with SA outside Abyssea. Inside Abyssea it's equal or a little worse than Evisceration stacked with SA, but may be worth using for the aftermath. Unstacked, it's crappy.

See, you're obviously part of the problem. The sad fact is, you didn't realize that not a single thing I said in that post was bragging. I in fact only used a personal pronoun in 2 locations. I have no idea why you think it's hard to tank Khimaira on Corsair or any other job, but it definitely wasn't be trying to brag, it's me saying I'm not making a baseless claim - it's something I actually did once, and I'm fairly certain the paladin I was co-tanking with actually preferred it to another paladin because it meant he got rolls as opposed to nothing. The fact you think it was so hard that I'm actually bragging is well....pathetic really. But let's see, I had the same shadows, the same shadow recast...same PDT gear pretty much, slightly worse MDT (but decent MDT for a cor nonetheless), and solid enmity generation via slugshots. May I ask what a paladin brought to the table that was so necessary? Invinc/Sentinel if shit went terribly wrong? Did you kill Khim? Did you need these for survival every single time you fought him? If so, wow, that's sad...what did you do during all the time they weren't up? Don't get me wrong, we had our fair share of sloppy/messy Khims in the day, but I guarantee you they had nothing to do with what tank job was brought, more like what players, and/or how much TP was being fed to it.

If you want to talk about stuff that was done first as far as kills/etc go, you're right, I did nothing. And exactly opposite of what Atoreis posted, it's because I didn't even kill my first HNM until ~1.5 years ago. I didn't start salvage until after the initial box was put in, but in fact, it's partly due to the fact I wasn't here for the terrible ideas the endgame community came up with before that, that I am able to have a different (and generally better) perspective on a lot of this. It's sad how many people thought you needed a mnk, or that a mnk brought anything special to salvage after the initial box was added. I started salvage with terrible gear (no Byakkos, no r/e to speak of really) tanking on Sam with a group of friends, and we were very successful. It's equally sad how many people like you think/thought a paladin brought anything to the table, that you couldn't DD tank sky gods or Faf or Khim or Cerb, when you -easily- could.

All that being said, if you read BG much, I actually was the first, or one of the first to advocate several different things, including the fact that haste shouldn't be swapped for accuracy (maybe some others were saying it at the same time, but afaik I was the first one to say it and post math proving that W.Turban with pizza beat out Ace's with meat). Past that it's hard to tell, I definitely wasn't the first to say to DD tank stuff, or that you could do salvage fine without a single mnk, but I was part of the underwhelming minority arguing that point still. But really, I don't care about any of this, nor do I think it's impressive, I post when I'm bored generally, and I try to help people out as much as I can. If you are sick of reading my posts, feel free to add me to your ignore list - but something tells me people think your posts are far shittier than mine. Really, you have some fucked up hatred towards me (probably because I called you out on your Ghorn bullshit - sorry), because that post you quoted really didn't have fuck-all to do with me, it had to do with the fact that Abyssea did not change the game in some huge manner, it just made more people see half decent players able to do shit with significantly less numbers (due to the fact there were tons of drops to get, didn't have to compete to claim an NM once per day or longer, etc).

I can't fucking believe you think me saying we DD-tanked sky or that I tanked Khim on cor is bragging. Seriously. It's stating a fucking fact that is not in the least impressive. IF you had any reading comprehension, you'd understand that the entire point of my post was saying that what's being done in abyssea is -NOT- special, just like it's not special to be able to DD tank sky. If you can tank it on a paladin, you can tank it on a DD or cor. Seriously, there isn't a fucking difference worth mentioning. Cast shadows when needed, done.

If you actually parse the average and compare between 100TP SA-Rudra's and Eviscerations in Abyssea with 2 Crit Atmas (74% crit rate), I don't see how this could be correct.

Rudra's is 4.5 fTP first hit (4.7 with gorget/belt) and 1 hit for the offhand, with a potential 6 additional hits from Triple/Double Attacks.
Evisceration is 1.0 fTP first hit (1.2 with gorget/belt) and 5 additional hits with offhand, with a potential 2 additional hits from Triple/Double Attacks.

If you Sneak Attack with Rudra's, you crit 4.7 worth of fTP fTP.
If you Sneak Attack with Evisc, you crit (1.2 + .74*(5+DAs&TAs)) worth of fTP.

Assuming no TA/DA:
4.7 Crit fTP, 5.7 total fTP for Rudra's
4.9 Crit fTP, 6.2 total fTP for Evisc

And yeah, Evisceration will suffer a little from 8 max hits/round. If you give me the TA/DA numbers you like, I could calculate how much. DAs and TAs on Rudra's aren't going to be able to crit, but Evisceration's will. Evisc already has a total fTP edge on Rudra's.

Damage added from DEX during Sneak Attack from THF main is added after fTP, so it is equal between the two cases. Mods are the same between the two cases. Whether the aftermath and more regular damage justifies the WS damage decrease is up to you to decide.

I believe it's magical like Primal Rend, but I don't know much more than that. There was a post or two way back in this thread about it complaining about damage, but I think that guy was a WAR and not using any MAB gear.

i'm sure i've MS'd a few 2/3k's back at 75 on my old char with a good 15-20% tp return so i'm sure it can TA so i'm pretty sure all but elemental ws's can DA/TA

Why would you be using that shit WS to begin with?
The only reason THF's never see any "offhand TA's", is because they SHOULD be using Dancing Edge (or Evisceration in abyssea), and with /nin that's 6 hits allready in the WS, TA would push it to 8...the attack round cap.

Theres no reason at all otherwise to say that offhand hits cant receive triple attack as well.
