>.< with my sTP +37 build i am sitting at 382 acc w/ pizza + hasso. And i hate to give up my Adaberk for askar.
Any information on the swords. Would the occ attacks twice beat out the current normal combo of Perdu/koggelmander for BLU somehow?
If it procs like a joytoy, sure.
Depends how much damage comes from spells and how much comes from TP/WS.
+25 Acc is all you need with Pizza at MJSP for 405 accuracy, and you can stomp about with Double March and laugh in the face of anyone who would dare whine for Madrigal. As I said, throw Ace's on if you're an Elvaan, though indeed you could also go Fourth Mantle and PCC and not lose any haste. Cuch rounds out better with +4 STR IMO. Could also go to Chiv and put an Attila's on if you don't have Abyssal.
Can anyone give me a formula to roughly figure out the actual DPS on a sword like joyeuse? I tried to look at the percentage between joy's base DPS and its adjusted one and apply it, but I don't think I did it correctly. I got a higher number than expected.
(If the dps is close to perdu then I'd probably use kogg/antea over perdu/kogg (I eat sushi)...
Usually in normal melee situations your overall damage should be something like 15% ws, 35% melee dot and 50% spell damage so I'm inclined to say that it will beat that, assuming occ. atk. twice rate is decent. Acc+5 or STR+4/DEX4 won't boost your spell damage nearly as much as that kind of attack rate would with your melee dot.
Okay, in that case then off handing this (gimp version, DPS is worthless stat) would win for sure? Cause I'm not really gaining anything I need from perdu anyhow. The extra tp put into my CA vertical cleaves going to trump the attack I think.
Still, I'd like to find out how to figure out the DPS on these for the sake of knowing.
Just looking for discussion here, not questioning anyone's authori-tah...
Damage * 60 / Delay = DPS
I think this is the formula for non OAT weapons? Looking for one that can apply to OAT weaps.
Dps isn't a worthless stat. In fact it's one of the best stats to compare weapons with different delays and damage and figure out which one deals more damage during the tp phase.
Normal dps = damage / 227 * 60
Dps for weapons with OAT is is:
Dps = ((damage*0.xx)+((damage+damage)*0.yy)) / delay * 60
where
0.xx = percentage of normal hits
0.yy = percentage of double attacks
for a sword like joyeuse with 35 dmg, 224 dly and 45% double attacks, you get
0.xx = 0.55
0.yy = 045
dps = ((35*0.55)+((35+35)*0.45))/224*60
dps = (19.25+31.5)/224*60
dps = 50.75/224*60
dps = 13.59
multiply it by the proc rate (x1.45 for joytoy)
Yeah, I always just factor it in to damage. So for Soboro (D40 30/50/20) it would be:
.3*40*1 + .5*40*2 + .2*40*3 = D76
etc.
Thanks, so it seems the DPS on gimpy version is 7.58. Perdu is 11.73. So take that as you will.
(Okay looking at it that way, I can see where you meant DPS is worthless stat, because what did that tell me? essentially nothing lol)
I think off-handing this is defiantly an decent option though. The non-gimp version will definitely destroy Perdu for off-hand (Assuming the best set for /nin is Perdu and Kogg)
Okay sorry for derail, "Now I'm done."
Actually Now I see, I have to "Make up" about 4 Damage/sec to make this viable. Okay, so lets look at chain affinity only, I need to make up 400 Dmg/chain affinity to make it on par. I think it can for sure be better then. If I can pop 1 more ws inbetween and then still be able to self chain expiation>V.C then for sure.
Bah sorry for rambleing..
Unless I'm missing something, I'd like to know where the hell you're getting 16 TP from. I'm pretty sure the game calculates TP to the 1st decimal point only as I've gotten different TP values while swinging the same weapon which gives all the indication of a .5~9 on swings.
14.4 x 1.20 = 17.28 (which the game would round down to 17.2 I believe) thus 6-hit.
/SAM @ 70 is STP II = 15 STP + Rajas = 20 which as all you need (not counting sword strap which would jack up the number a bit) but if that's what you're arguing you really should point that sort of thing out since it changes the numbers.
