I can see how someone could finish Almace, Calad, Masamune, etc in a week, as they're shit easy to do. However, how the flying fuck do you kill 50+ T3 VNMs in a week while doing all that other stuff? Finding the T2, popping, hoping it converts X number of times, finding T3, popping, hoping for not shitty drops, grabbing another T1 and killing it 40 times for an upgrade and starting all over.. I know he probably got help and bought some of them, but jesus.

Thats all assuming none else is killing vnms.... and that was main reason that I said no competition.

shiva has VERY low competition during weekdays. We did all 50 CC for masa last night with competition for heqet one time the entire night. weekends it's bad, of course, but during weekdays? easy.

So I decided to start h2h empy and I just spent 2 hours farming 1 chloris pop set.

Now my question is I can deal with the NM's np, but just me and my wife having doubts about running out of stones.
What do you guys do to farm time while farming sets? I feel like my 70 stones will be gone before I even finish chloris.

catacleave, cyclone cleave, level war and fell cleave, go blmx2 and aga/aja burn.

pick one and never use stones again.

MNK level staff, Cataclysm-cleave for KI's and Time. Or just cap pearl and azure, and farm time in between. Thats how we do it at least. Takes a little more time, but if you are concerned with stones, it may be the best bet.

Yeah war cleave / 2 blmga is kinda counter productive if we have to leave zone to change jobs

NIN/WAR & WHM/THF (TH for buds & pop items >> any subjob and you'll need /WAR for red.) With the right gear and atma I think you can consistently get around 1700 damage Aeolian Edges (although a more realistic number is around 1300.) Still it's fast enough to burn down bats, or you can just use melee atma and kill them quickly one by one. You can use Blade: Jin as long as it's the first action you take on a mob, before it turns red. Even if you one shot it with Jin you still won't get ruby this way. Cap azure (and amber if you don't plan on AE burning, pearl if you do) before you start killing stuff. Once you're at 150+ time then I recommend farming NMs for pop items. Get all pop items first before popping NMs as you may get the key items for them from chests. If you find you can't proc red on an NM, deaggro it. It's much faster than farming a new pop set.

approaching tunga stage frightenly fast, done few test runs a month ago, break spam wiped us most of the time, since then got kanagi and vereragna, and still doubt we can kill it with any degree of efficiency (assuming red !! is out of the question). been preparing for another test run, almost done getting +2 smn gears and skill up, lol and going to get Atma of the Horned Beast, as soon as we're done with Chesmas...
so yeah, what setup, atma, meds you guys use to farm Tunga's Key Item?

Just EVAs tank + WHM it. We were farming +2s, so we had BLU/NIN + THF/NIN + WHM + BLM. We didn't use any particular medicines. My atma was set up for BluBurn, so it was inconsequential.

Earth resist is your friend for Tunga, Earth Wyrm atma, barspell from WHM and go, you'll resist most everything from it

Nice info. Whats the fastest way to farm chloris pops. Can all 4 of is key items drop from amber chest or only like 2 outta 4? I have more then 2 ppl I can bring like 6 ppl.
We have mnk/sam with 300+ staff for amber, and I know 2 WAR/sams with fell cleave and I know blms too for ga/ja.
Should we enter and cap azure off the E.Clinoid mob asap then try to cap pearl next? Then just amber spam with mnk/sam and fell cleaves? Do E.Clinoid only give +1 pearl light when you kill them or +10 like the azure light. Always hear different debates about that so I do not know.

Wiki shows that amber only drops Hedetet and Chukwa, Chloris pop key items and the rest are the AH brought one from the smaller gold chests. I hope wiki is wrong.

I did alot of work leveling sam from 1-49 today and then skilling up staff like crazy and buying INT+MAB gear.

You can definitely red it. Slow is a constant hate reset until it is erased off, so you can have your mages get Slowed and quickly erase melees when it goes off. Petrify is 15' from the target and Slow is 20' so your mages have a nice window to stand. Just be quick on the Erases and you'll be fine.

@zag: wiki is wrong. all the visions empy pop KI's can be done w/ gold chest now. best way for lights is to cap on t1 VNM's, then AoE/cleave/whatever on bats or mandies.

edit: also helps to find somone doing GA or another glavoid-path weapon and teamup. you'll get pops for both, and for lacovie. goading and empy items for everyone.

Fastest : X-cleave whatever method for whatever timeframe your comfortable then physically pop the few your missing.

Pearl : T1 vnm grants 100% pearl proc
