Friend and I have been sharing gems. We don't hardcore it and do carabosse an entire sitting like others. But we do shout for people and people still want these weapons. Not for damage i don't think, just for the looks.

5 Gems away and i'm being cock blocked by VNM's. Whoever decided to put VNM's into magian needs to drink acid.

I've been 50/50 buds and fangs sense last Saturday, worked a lot this week so didn't have much time to camp NM's. (I hadn't done any). Now I'm trying to do keeper of Helidom and he's taking FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRR to pop. VNM's I'm fine with, this stupid lottery bullshit is what pisses me off.

That looks pretty far from ideal to me (and you're still 15% behind MNK before counter+ gear).

I am not sure what is your sense of ideal, but like I said, it works great for me. For one thing, Mnk main probably won't use RL to begin with, so that 15% behind is really only 5% behind + gear(Assuming it is 10% like some tests have indicated RL to be). You really have to try it on your own to feel it, it has worked surprisingly well for me and I was able to tank almost all mobs without any problem. Drain/Drain2/Dreadspike/Stun/Bio2 are just icing on the cake.

yea stupid lottery is bullshit....VNM is breeze walk, can do all 20 NM within a day but some lottery x4 NM can take forever

yea my GS skill is 100 away from cap LOL so thats about 100 att and shitload of acc missing....

i didnt eat any food as well for skill up and mobs i hit varies from detectors to marids to buffalos including some shivas(helping friend to get colorless souls) and a couple of buffalo NM for friends NIN hand seal. I kinda miss alot of WS on detectors cos they are IT at the point of time (damn 1 hti WS -_-)

average for the entire 3 hours of skill up is about 2.1k torcleaver, which really isnt bad at all for my case. I will run a extensive specific mob parse when i manage to cap this shit...gained 30 levels so im still a long way away to cap ;(

even my scythe is 24 skill off the cap....so hard to skill up sigh. hope mid feb patch work wonders

as for WS gears, im using:

input /equip legs "Bale flanchard +2" (looking for good VIT legs to outdo the mad str and att this gives)
input /equip head "Twilight Helm" (best i can find, most str and vit a piece can offer)
input /equip Hands "Perle Moufles" (lol best i can find too for now)
input /equip Feet "Bale Sollerets +2" (9 str can be easily replacable as well, looking for vit feet)
input /equip Body "Twilight Mail" (best i can find, most str and vit a piece can offer)
input /equip Ear2 "Brutal Earring" (this shit sucks, i need to get a vit earring lol DA torcleaver only gives extra like 200 damage)
input /equip Neck "Breeze Gorget"
input /equip Ring1 "Spiral Ring" (best i can find, most str and vit a piece can offer)
input /equip Waist "Breeze Belt"
input /equip Ring2 "Rajas Ring" (just to keep some STP on and str a 6-7 vit ring is prolly better i bet)
input /equip Ear1 "Bale Earring" (go for vit earring maybe?)
input /equip Back "Atheling Mantle" (this shit sucks too lol like brutal DA dont do shit, i may find a vit piece)
input /equip Ammo "Fire Bomblet" (im sure a bibiki seashell is better)

above gears is what i use for catastrophe lol(except for neck and waist) and they have decent dex and acc so i dont miss much on WS as i am skilling up. ALot of gears can be work on but like i said for now, 2.1k average with the above skillup gear and being severly under-skilled sounds pretty decent to me

because im still not capped, i havent really buy the desired vit gears that dont compromise too much STR. Dont wanna hurt my bag space just yet >_<

2H WS ALOT more than 1H. and the double damage crit is insane i can tell yer ^^

not sure if its a given with you but do you have

Twilight mail Ares's Gauntlets and Ares's Sollerets? best vit situational gear for them slots (i presume you prefer the DA on helm over Twilight Helm's Vit)

He's almost malacite tier, pretty much pay no mind. On a random note, Sisyphus Fragments are steadily becoming more rare/expensive on my server. I would recommend people with Apademak trials to stock up on those on a mule or something, shit's going to be worse than tiger king hides after patch probably.

very easy to get giant golds upon entry with abyssites and the gold pyxis influence level on the zone so not that easy at times
