And your assumption that they didn't intend these weapons to be 'overpowered' (at 75, 24 levels before the cap) in the first place comes from...where?
Buffing up relics quite clearly shows that they knew what kind of weapons they were going to implement in this update. Relics should be ahead, even with OAT weapons around.
Assuming the Wargs can proc on both fists, would they be better than the +7 DMG Mantis? Just starting out on the trials my self. I'll definitely be picking up some Pet: Magic Acc. +10 h2h though.
And you think they should be overpowered to a point that they are better than relic even after the two upgrades like the majority of the 2 hand OAT weapons already are? I mean you honestly think those few dmg upgrades to the relics makes a difference on the comparison? That's what I meant by SE not knowing what they are doing (still stupidly think dmg = omfg good, low delay = omfg good, OAT = it's alright, balanced by giving it high delay and low dmg). If you know the math, put those weapon against their relic counter part, you will be surprised on how "overpowering" they are. Other than maybe Apoc, none of the 2 hand relics holds a stick against the OAT magian weapons.
As for the previous poster. Yea, I didn't know the delay was that much higher than the normal range. Maybe they got it right for just one weapon lol.
So seeing how the OAT weapons attack like joy should i drop the damage oathkeeper (1/6shoggoth :/) i am working on and go for the OAT one? D:
I'm skeptical about OTA weapons until until screenshots/etc because it's April 1st and I'm paranoid. >_>
Athame done, spoilered for large.
Spoiler: show
Tests to come after blob dead.
As mentioned, faith as 114 delay and a lot less base damage than Warfangs. If Warfangs does indeed have OAT on both hands (which I suspect it does) it will blow everything out of the water. That's even before considering the considerable TP boost from such a high delay (the high delay will actually help).
The only thing that would stop me from doing Warfangs now is not knowing that the next update will bring for the OAT 0 base damage version (that has to be leading to further upgrades)..
I initially thought that would be the case too, since there are three more trials involved in the gimp version until it was pointed out that what you have to do for those three trials is significantly less painful than collecting those 10 items. It's impossible to say what's going to happen in the June patch, but at this point I would be inclined against believing that the +0 damage versions will be getting anything spectacular.
Not the world largest sample, but I'll update it after 10k or so. No Brutal, DNC/whm on Crabs+Pugils in Vunkerl.Code:Basic Data Player # Melee Attacks # Melee Rounds Attacks/Round # Extra Attacks Radec 1505 1073 1 432 Player # +1 Rounds # +2 Rounds # +3 Rounds # +4 Rounds # >+4 Rounds Radec 432 0 0 0 0 Player # MultiAttack Rounds MultiAttack % Kills w/Min Attacks Kills w/<Min Attacks Radec 432 40.60 % 9 0 Treat As: Multi-attacks per attack (2x/3x): Player # Double Attacks DA Rate Perc. So 40% roughly. Slightly lower than joyeuse but still epic.
I cannot fucking wait to have a multi hit katana on nin FINALLY. Mnk and Thf will just be icing on the cake. Guess Ill be doing VNMs when I get back..
My only problem now is going to be having to press my WS macro every 7 seconds on my Mnk, Nin, and Thf.
Which to do first!?
40% proc looks meh for MNK and SAM. it wont beat hagun with this rate, and won't beat destroyers if it applies only on the first fist. If it procs on both fists it will destroy relics so I doubt it will either.
Assuming that all are 40% and joyeuse is 45% (i havent seen parse but seems to be accepted that it is) Joyeuse will win out over the Magian da sword for atonement spam yeah?
