Maybe you're right. I've seen things like randomly resisted ES Sleeps before, although I didn't take note of the day/weather at the time. Some confirmation on that would be nice, although I'm still certain Stun can't resist without one of the conditions I mentioned being present.

@ the person citing Cerberus, are you certain you weren't fighting it on Earthsday or in Earth weather? Weather (double and single) is pretty common in Zhayolm.

This is a long time ago were talking about here but the land rate was consistently bad, it would have taken a lot of unluck for virtually all of the fights to happen during Earthsday/weather.

Cerberus is a strange mob altogether though, as any summoner with Diabolos could tell you. Nether Blast can experience weird variations in damage on this NM, including meeting the normal damage cap, or ending up being lower or higher than the damage cap, as though Cerberus becomes weaker and stronger to magic in terms of both potency and resistance by some unknown trigger. This probably also explains why Atonement seems to react weirdly to Cerberus on occasions (occasionally exceeds cap, occasionally reduced damage despite max hate, etc.).

I'd attribute such oddities to human error, stoneskin, day procs, using or not using Dream Shroud, the fact that Shroud's potency varies by time of day.

As for Atonement, Cerberus family mobs take extra damage from it, lower than normal numbers could simply be hitting one's WS macro just as he triple attacks away 3 shadows or something. Gorgets can't break Atonement's cap but they make it easier to reach, a 1 hit atonement + cerberus bonus + gorget bonus could result in some confusing numbers.

I was recently thinking aboout resist on stun but from player view. I was trying to figure out if I can resist enstun on some mobs with enough lightning resistance. I was asking Martel about this and he answer was that ( I hope he wont have anything against that I will quote him

) "On En-stun. I tried something like this recently for Apademak. But even with 416 thunder resist I was still getting stunned at times. Far less than usual, but it did still proc. I could frequently resist the stun and dmg on fulmination though, which was pretty cool."
So maybe go to abyssea. Take brd+whm. Wear on all lightning res gear you have. Take lightning res atmas. Find some mob that cast stun (skeletons in grauberg for example) and check if you can get a resist in non earth day.

Err if you question is if resisting thunder on players is in the game's algirithm then yes, just enter brenner and stun a friend for instance. Plus you can mix adle and barthunder in there. This is a good argument in favor of resisting stun being possible outside of earth days. Although I didn't try it I'm sure that with stacked bar element thunder a refected stun from a colibri will be resisted.

Although not the same as en-stun, that dumb gigas NM /w shock spikes in La Theine can be resisted at a high rate just using Thunder Carol + Bar Thunder. It makes a huge difference in resisting the stun.

Is it just me or are souls quite a bit lower drop rate than other empyrean items? Pretty sure I have only seen like 6 or 7 double drops out of 43 souls so far. (with TH of course)

I agree with this. Definitely seems like getting 2 is fairly rare.

hero zone is alil lower than the other 2 afaik on my own experience

other 2 zones i usually get about 5-6 item in 3 pops

for hero zones i average about 4 in 3 pops...

however, this could be all because of luck and taken into consideration i will always proc TH at least once(lvl 8s) on the 2 easy zones and only poke hero NMs once because i dont wanna take care of a mule getting hit with apademak/isgebind aoes(usually just get thf to bio them once and leave it)

The other important observation is that the effects of Iceday and Firesday, respectively, on the accuracy of Paralyze are not even close to being statistically significant (at the 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% levels), if they even exist at all. The relevant p-values are in red. It is not mentioned whether an obi was used.

Afaik (and the way I read it) there's no definitive yes/no answer, but some evidence to say that there's no relationship.

I completely agree, I really want to see what the new content has to offer I don't think we will be inside abyssea much longer. I'm putting my money on the bow also for the long run as we don't use rng in abyssea. I read somewhere that since wildfire is based on MAB the bullet you use has no effect on dmg. Is this true?

Perhaps you killing Ifrit instead of Levi. Ifrit drop rate for 2nd soul with th8 is like 5%, Levi drop rate for 2nd soul with th8 is like 85% (got about 4 single drops on maybe 30 Levi)

doing my colorless stage for ochain i got 28 double drops, and 19 single drops. Majority was Levi always with TH.
