With SE making it so easy. Tempted to do another Emp weapon. Should I go after club for my whm? Is it any good?

If you enjoy melee whm, go for it. Dagan isn't very useful, only in special situations where mystic boon wouldn't give you more MP and you can't cure yourself. It doesn't beat a Mjollnir, but it's a solid club.

Even if that's true, the staff is questionably useful even in situations where you can melee, because (unless it's different from every other weapon) AM wears off when you swap it.
+30% damage (30% ODD) vs. +5 Affinity (30% damage, and regular)

It'd be good for starting a fight, I guess. Use a wing, WS with 300 TP, get 50% ODD on spells (+50% damage average).

I don't think I'd trade a set of finished +damage staves for it.

It depends on how you wanna go about it. Ideally, small PT WHM WAR NIN for KI farming, or if you don't mind risking the chance of no KI and just wanna kill shit solo you can frag Cep-Kamuey and CC with BLM/RDM with absurd ease. Same strategy for both fights actually - Gravity Kite & Nuke. Not kidding, SOB goes down in 5 min tops he's fucking pathetic.

Hardest part is getting claim on Heqet IMO (and getting Red !! when he's not spamming god damn water magic.) That damn frog just doesn't let up for very long between spells, + there's usually a bajillion people camping him... He's not hard though. I've solo'd him on BLM/RDM as well again Grav Kite Nuking but it's more dangerous than with the fish as the asshole actually has ranged abilities (i.e. magic)


My usual atma set up for CC is Ambition (If you have Herald Gaiters you can use something else) Minikin Monstrosity & Ultimate (for damage and to make sure Gravity isn't resisted - it's extremely rare but if he does resist it you're pretty fucked unless you can bind him fast)

It's pretty bad. Not as bad as the lower tier NMs imo (Carabosse, Briareus, etc), but pretty bad.

Guess I have it nice here, usually people will ask how many you have and either A) Ask you if you could infrom the leader when you are done so they can start or B) Ask if its ok to take turns popping. About... 10% of the time you'll get people who just pop no matter what.

yea that WAS the norm.

Idk if thats how odin roll or we been on a polite server. On odin, 10% of groups will ask how many battles u have. Most group just come and get rdy to spam the ??? w/o even asking anything, NA or JP. I met an EU today which is special, he says "let me pop next or i will gm call, i do not want to wait 2 hours and not kill a NM". The name is firestar and i wonder if he is a original odin pro member. Of course he didnt pop any and D2-ed......

Maybe carabosse is special case since SOME GROUPS kill REALLY SLOW (i seen 1 grp kill it in 27 mins....) and the group that asks how many more battle gave up waiting and just pop, and then because of the slow killers, or because of carabosse's nature, more people come to the ??? faster than people finishes their pop set

i have not been to other pop spots like sandworm, briareus, chloris etc but i doubt they will be as bad....
