Sorry to say that but you guys are so pathetic with your whining about APradar not working on VNMs. "Gimme back my cheating toys because I can't exist w/o them cry cry cry" I can understand you are unhappy about it and your lack of skills to catch VNMs because you have no idea of their patterns because you never did them normal way but to shit on forum with whole this crap is seriously pathetic... After 100+ Shiva's you get pretty good at popping VNM's even without Radar, I can tell you that much!

The frustrating thing about souls isn't really the chasing the VNM about. It's when there is competition who are using fleebots (although competition in general is pretty depressing). There's literally no point trying to compete against a fleehacker unless you're doing it yourself (I personally didn't but understand why others would and don't blame them). I was possibly naively surprised by just how many people did it though. On a sidenote Mazurka generally gives you a massive edge over non-fleebot competition.

If you get a clean run at it, it isn't as bad as people make out. It can get frustrating with upgrade rates at times but that's generally more when you're competing for pops than when you get it free to yourself.

Towards the end I got a clean run at Shiva/Levi and managed to get my last 35 souls in 4 days spending like 3-4 hours a day there (7 hours on the last day though). Helped a lot that people would bring me T2's out to convert.

I think overall it took me about 3, maybe 4, weeks to do the souls stage once I actually set out to do it and I was probably out there 4-5 nights per week for 3 ish hours. I basically set myself a target of 3-4 souls per day I decided to go out there (basically 2 Levi pops and if I got any more it was a bonus).

Not sure what it's like on other servers competition wise but if there was 2-3 parties already there competing I just didn't bother. It just isn't worthwhile.

Souls are terrible, but people make them seem way worse than they are. Especially if you are willing to buy pops, that can cut off a ton of time. Lots of people have pops from seal farming, and half of them don't even know what a colorless soul is. You can generally get pops pretty cheap, 250-500k seems average.

Thinking buying popsets might vary server to server. On Asura I wasn't able to buy a single popset at all during my souls phase. I know some people were offering 500k per soul and still not getting any takers. Will keep trying though because the wife wants a Harp now >_>

People killing it for seals will happily team-up with you and let you have the T3 though.

i do agree that if anyone only rely on radar for vnm, they suck. once it stops moving, you can pretty much count the yalm and pop it w/o checking again

The problem is how rarely they stop moving, and how retarded their movement is (running back and forth one direction then the other). They should just increase the range where you successfully pop, so there is no more of this "6 W, now 7 E, now 6 W again, oh now he is 12 S" shit.

You talk as if they have reliable patterns. My group did the majority of colorless soul farming off Ogo, and I've had several pops where she'd just sprint to the cliff. Some where she'd go forward, then suddenly double back and run S abit, turn and go whichever fucking direction until we got lucky enough to pop. There's no skill involved in things like that, if you have competition it's gonna come down to luck, even with no comp you can end up having to run up to Flux 7 to pop her among the gears. And then of course, it's the fact that you have no control whatsoever in the upgrade to T3, while in every other empy process you can force the KI to drop. Colorless souls farming is tedious for no reason but the sake of being tedious.

The only hard part is finding it the 1st time. After the 1st time, VNM will pop in the same area after the ToD. Anyone who camped kings would know how this works. Should be able to pin point it down to the second.

Best way to do it from my experiene is to just ask around to see who has T3 pops. People are usually willing to pop their T3 for you for free, even if they don't do it for free they usually would like a drop off whatever it is anyways so thats not a big problem. Also, farming T3 sets in altepa is a joke. So easy to get to, you don't have to worry about it magically climbing a mountain or going up a waterfall. Downside is that the double drop rate on the souls is a lot worse it seems. I guess it evens out though if you can get your T2s to upgrade to T3s fast. I think it took us like 2 and a half weeks to do 75 souls and we weren't even really doing it every day. Probably like 4-5 hours a day if we were actually doing it. The days that we were doing it we managed to get about 5 souls on average and the days we went hardcore on it we got like 7-9 souls. If you can get the people together for it, its really really easy to get them quickly.

once u get first, subsequent pops at #1 and they are usually non aggro mobs. Gets easier to pop after that after first movement.
