Ogopogo may be by far the most camped T2 but it most definitely has the best 2x drop rate which I felt made up for it while I was doing mine. It's a bitch of a trial either way though.

Ogopogo is definitely the way to go, even if you don't get to pop every T2. We've done an Ochain and a Harp now, and Levi almost always dropped 2 souls, whereas the other 2 dropped only 1 a lot of the time. It might seem like getting a T3 for levi takes forever, but in the end it's probably faster than getting 2 of the other kind.

It is all luck. Our diabolo drops 2 souls the most. However, most of the time just 1 regardless which zone.

To anyone who's completed an Ochain or the new Harp - how the fuck do you compete against all these people camping T2 VNM's? it's ridiculous, I feel like it's the old day of HNM's, just groups and groups camping on them. There needs to be an alternative to collecting souls, or more instances for popping t2. Every zone I check, at any time of the day, has more than one group camping t2 vnms. It's getting out of hand.

I'd highly recommmend shouting and buying Tier 3 pops from people, i've gotten 37/75 in a fairly short amount of time and a majority of them are bought from people, you'll be surprised how many people have Tier 3 pops sitting around from seal farming before and after the merges.
But if you don't have the gil i'd recommend subbing THF and hoping you get lucky and pop it before someone else, or use Clipper

No.

I did 20 Ifirit and only 3 dropped 2 souls all with th9.
Then I did Levi till the end and maybe 4 out of 28 dropped 1.
Cant speak for Diabolos but Levi has much higher base drop rate on 2 than Ifrit.

Gonna have to agree, Ogopogos drop on 2x souls is higher than Maere/Brulo. With a THF, you're likely gonna see 2 souls.

If I had to rank the 3, Ogo is definitely the best dropper followed Maere who seemed to be a middle ground followed by Brulo who just sucks overall and enjoys spitting out singles.

Mage out of PT works as far as draw-in is concerned. Nightmare will still hit them if in range, or the target of the JA. The hate reset makes this possible.

You need to stay 20'+ away from him (and your tank?) still. Nightmare wont draw you outside party but will sleep you. It is also hate reset so you need to wake up your tank fast if you duo.

What I did was mnk or thf + whm + a cure/curaga trio box/or friend. Everyone but mnk stays @ 20'+ from him and cure/curaga when Nightmare. Tbh he's easier than levi/ifrit b/c of no spike damage or spikes, he just has nightmare and that can be solve by cures. Hate reset can be solve by mnk punching or thf collab+SA if you don't have tp for a WS. In my experience thf is good due to TH (still get single drop often) and when you screw up with nightmare evasion can help you stay in the game.
