I've never seen an Ochain on an Elvaan or Galka. All the ochains on my server were on humes/mithra. this shield is fucking HUGE.

Gratz and yeah both my friends with Aegis and Ochain say Aegis is still king. Nice to have both though.

Well difference between a normal 85 empy and 85 shield/harp is the 85 shield/harp are useless until 90. Still, colorless souls are fucking awful so grats on getting past that annoying shit.

I can honestly say that I've never seen a double drop off of Diabolos, and very rarely off of Ifrit. :\ It's kinda stupid the way it's set up. Would be cool if they made other T3 VNMs drop the souls so at least other people benefit from killing them and farming the pops with you. Would spread out the congestion a little but more too, but certainly still wouldn't come close to relieving it.

The SE response: Yeah, we made the VNMs shitty because Harp/Shield have no trials before the initial Iron Plate request.

Oh we have no intention to increase the number of T2 VNMs either.

I got probably 90% of my souls from Grauberg. Its like people are scared of Maere. Never had competition there. He is stingy on souls, but beats trying to out pop Chione against 30-50 other people.

I really must get to working on Verethragna myself. Technically, I've started, but I have fangs and no buds -- I'm one of those (apparent) few who already has their Mantis, too. Recently, I finished acquiring Cataclysm -- I was working on it on and off, but especially after the addition of more ???s, felt it necessary -- so I've no excuse. Thanks to how busy I've been over the last half a year or so, I've accumulated around five hundred Abyssea stones, so I'm really overdue for getting an Empyrean.

Unless stuff is overcamped, after you get buds done you're looking at about 12ish hours to finish Dragua and 12-18 to do Ulhuadshi. There is no timeline for buds, but what I can suggest is the more people present to hold a popset the faster it will go. It takes about 4 hours to farm a popset for a group of people, and that doesn't really change whether you have 4 people or 8 people...though it would probably take 5-6 if you had more, but in the end you'd have 2x-3x as many buds for nearly the same amount of work. I understand that's not feasible for everyone, and it can surely be plugged away at 3-4 a day in which case you'd be done in 2 weeks.

Dragua pop sets took about 30-45m to get 8 each time, so it's really whether you want to brew it just to finish or fight him each time.

(Cataclysm is rlynice for that last stage)

Thank you for discussing your experiences. It'll probably take me a little longer to complete Verethragna, but that's strictly due to my play schedule (which is, in summary, "on and off") -- I'd say it will be a month or two. However, I've no doubt my small circle of friends and I can capably do it. Knowing the average amount of time it takes for competent players to amass KI sets helps, as we can plan how we want to do it and when.

I was really quite delighted as to how easy Ulhuadshi was. Already, I knew Verethragna was fortunately simple to complete (even if not as ridiculously easy as Masamune), but actually experiencing what a pushover one of its required NMs was felt refreshing. Of course, my support mage friends are to thank for the effortlessness of it.
