Paladin is the only 1H job that single wields ever.

While I generally agree with byrth on most things I draw the line here. Sometimes I'll rdm and sword and shield, Sometimes I'll bst/whm while busting out an axe.
Then again does anything really matter when you are playing with yourself?

I like how everytime someone has to come up with "h2h sucks cos we only proc 1 hand" vs "1h emp better as they proc all hit" and then 1h almost always dw and they eventually sums up to "1h emp only proc on 1 of 2 hands" but people refuse to admit the fact that both argument are the same

Dont bring pld with shield into play. They can use both relic or emp on both hands and both still work as intended fuckers!

You lost me. H2H gets Empyrean base damage on both swings of their 2-hit attack round but double damage on only one of them. DW Empyreans get double damage on one swing of their 2-hit attack round and have to use an inferior base damage offhand.

They're essentially identical, except H2H gets a better deal.

The argument is -- and I don't necessarily agree with it, just devil's advocate-ing what others have said -- that with other 1h empyreans, you're offhanding something with a much lower base damage than your weapon. For example NIN has a 52/55 base D mainhand, and will usually use a 39 D offhand, so the kannagi is 57.1%/58.5% of their melee DPS already, and that portion is what can get doubled. MNK, on the other hand, is always a 50/50 split per fist, so there isn't any extra disproportional 'boost' given by ODD. So you ultimately end up with NIN having Kannagi be 65.4% of their melee DPS, and Vereth's ODD fist is only 56.4% of their DPS.

True, but that's like saying you get more out of ODD if you offhand Hornetneedle over Oneiros Knife.

Technically true, by the same math, but getting a larger % boost out of ODD doesn't make having a weaker offhand a better damage option. Similarly, Monks with Empyrean base damage on both hands aren't exactly pitiable compared to jobs with inferior offhands.

Mule Kannagi! Dual boxed all of bria building sets NIN+WHM then killed bria THF+WHM. As for sobek built the sets NIN+WHM and then a thank you is due to the LSmates who repeatedly came out and poked or Dipper yuly'd sobek for TH lol.

Yea, for Briareus I Quadboxxed all 100 Helms. I just farmed 4 sets and changed NIN to THF for the kill, and the WAR with Sea Daughter for PLM/GS/Scythe would switch to BLM/BRD for Grellow and repeat (4th is a BRD). I'm doing exact same thing with Sobek. TH is a godsend on finishing these Trials faster.

You're going to want a war for red procs on DK! Seems too annoying to get there and not be guaranteed the KI.

True, I just like doing as much myself as possible before needing help from others. Best bet is probably just find a lsmate who also needs to do apa stage and just team up for 100% red, yay 150 horns?!?

I know people go back and forward on it but yellow is believed to help the +2 items on him drop. I know when we had yellow proc we usually got both and we when ddint we only got 0-1 so id rather bring it then not have it.
