Well, at the moment, we have a few people saying the drop rates are about the same, a few people saying non-Ogo is awful, and one saying Ogo is awful.

I can't speak on Maere but in my experience Brulo isn't that much worse, if at all. I want to say Ogopogo is higher but I don't think the difference is as drastic as some of you are trying to make out.

There is definitely a difference between Ogopogo and others, one day it's a big one and another day it's a small one. I do not have the exact numbers, but after having gone through a harp and a shield farming all 3 VNM at once I know for sure that Ogo has a higher drop rate on doubles. Unless everything is luck and most of the people are getting stupid lucky with that one.

We have very rarely seen a double off Maere, Brulo was about the same ratio of doubles:singles, and Ogo had a double drop almost every time.

I don't wanna get into the massive argument but has someone tried to post this in the official forum to ask or ask a GM about this variance in drop rate?

Given how SE have been quite willing to fix things in abyssea for the past year such as apademak/dragua incident, it would be a clearer sign to as if these things are working as intended.

Until I see a sample size of over 10k kills for each with similar amounts of TH I call eyeballing!

From my small sample, they all suck. It took me 64 VNMs to get my 75 souls, and the 11 double drops came from all three pretty much evenly.

I did see Ogopogo double-drop quite a lot, but on other peoples' pops, not mine. It felt like SE had a "single-drop only" flag on my account.

I found Ogopogo's droprate noticeably higher than all the other T3 VNMS. I have personally made an Ochain for myself, one for an lsmate and currently helping with another. Same party setup almost every time.

P.S. I enjoy your posts Ato. I find many of them informative and helpful. I hope that some of the negative comments you receive here do not deter you from posting in the future.

2 of the Ogopogo doubles didn't have TH, all others did.

Also, could the different drop rate have to do with the bug that was present when they came out? I remember Maere not always dropping souls, just like the Iron giant didn't always drop plates.

Just going off my eyeballed T3 kills, Ogopogo definitely seemed to have the best double drop rate followed by Maere and finally Brulo.

I believe you meant to say emphatically, not empirically. Empirically implies that he did, in effect, testing of the testing. Emphatically, would imply that the subject expressed or performed the action with emphasis.

Here are your totals (with mine), all TH'd (aside from 2 in Kalasin's post) I've seen it presented that they are still bugged (like Kalasin said) similar to Dragua's horrid drop rate. Ogo's drop rate is almost identical to Azdaja and Dragua are now, which is relatively normal (5 items, 3 pops)
