Hecatomb Wave- Wind damage, adds Blindness (generally Dark)
Blastbomb- Fire damage, Bind (generally ice)
Radiant Breath- Light damage, Slow (earth) and Silence (wind)

It's a little different from the example you listed, where the spell is only an enfeeble, with no added damage.

I think what you might be able to draw from that is you can increase the accuracy of the spell and connected enfeeble via matching elemental staff, but the element of the status itself is still going to be its usual associated element (IE Regurgitation's bind and water damage is enhanced by a Water staff, but don't expect to land it on an Ice or Fire elemental).

Has anyone ever tried binding a water elemental with Regurgitation (or something else along those lines)?
I've definitely seen Magnetite Cloud testing and the gravity is wind, not earth. No idea on Regurgitation.

IIRC they share the same debuff slot as well, a long with stun.

Edit: Enervation would be good to test vs elementals if you wanted to make sure "defense down" for example was always wind based.

I've actually heard that the acc/potency of the bind effect of Blastbomb and Regurgitation are in fact helped by an ice staff, and not helped by a water/fire staff.

I have not tested this myself, but as I understand it, some testing has been done that tentatively supported this.

I've heard someone speculate that before (would like to think it isn't true because that would be retarded), but I've never seen any empirical evidence.

They are working as intended since that's how the mythic works. Also faith is still better than augmented mythic ... w.

I may go Magnetite Cloud some colibri with earth/wind/ice staves this evening, see if I can get even some very tentative duration numbers on it.

high base wind resistance should help the fact that I need to do this on lowish level mobs or get eaten >_>

5 minutes after Mind Blast on Ice Elemental, no para procs, no wear off message. Been recasting every so often. Gonna go BLU debuffs are still tied to the same elements, you could probably bind a water elemental, but not a fire or ice. Yeah, three to four casts of Regurgitation now no proc. Elemental ran out of MP so I'm gonna call this MYTH BUSTED

Try enervation to confirm stat down debuffs are the same way!

So raden with 40% OAT is a clear winner over hagun, ~4% increase, which is the same improvement as hagun over onimaru.

For Kurodachi versus polearm well you need to be decently attack and accuracy buffed for polearm to beat a great katana on non piercing mobs, and a non usukane sam will have a 3% haste penalty, but should still win in a zerg or any capped accuracy + minuet+ chao's situation. keep in mind that love halleberd require zero store TP piece and is always better than 480 delay.
Thank you for answering that clearly. I'm going to assume that you meant Kurodachi instead of Raden, and that was a typo. If not, then I'm thoroughly confused. As I don't recall Raden being able to get OAT. o.o

    Just one more small question.

Kuro is better than Hagun even in situations where the mob has high defense? (JoL, HNMs, etc.) Not even gonna bother asking if the tp feeding outweighs the 4% increase because I know I'll just get "tell your mages to suck less".

Only asking because I'm a newb at the math calculations for damage in this game and it just seems like the +7 base damage and tp bonus that hagun has over kuro would do more than the increased ws frequency that kuro has. But that's me eyeballing it.

So, early testing on this. 10 casts in HQ Ice on lesser colibri. 8 misses, 1 lasted for ~20 seconds, 1 lasted for ~ 1 minute.

10 casts in HQ wind, 1 miss, 1 ~15 second duration, 6 more that landed between 45 and 80 seconds. (average 61.4)

10 casts in HQ earth. 3 misses, 7 more that landed between 30 and 110 s. (average 55)

wind/earth differences are too close to say, but ice certainly seems to be penalizing the grav accuracy, which would tend to indicate it's affected by +/- wind acc, not earth acc.

All tests performed on water's day on lesser colibri, one colibri per staff.

The test was flawed. I hope to have better data soon.

Well, my bare-bones testing on Magnetite Cloud seems to support it.

Wouldn't a sort of reverse way to test this be to like wear a thunder resist set on Fulmination Khimaira and if it resists the paralyze effect you can safely say that it's the element of the attack (thunder) and not the element of the enfeeble (ice) involved?

Just because the mythic works that way doesn't necessarily mean Warfangs does too.

Or maybe SE just really is that fucking stupid. Well at least augmented Spharai is still bad ass, maybe they'll let you augment Faiths too after some updates? Though probably not, it looks as though we're only getting to augment specific, pre-determined equipment. I am going to be some pissed off if next update when armor upgrades come along I can't upgrade either Rajas, Suppa or Brutal.

They probably just fixed the issue where DMG+x was actually gimping the weapons, see also Ebow > Yoichi when Yoichi was augmented lol

So I just finished my Elemental Stribog after a few weeks. I did the added effect path so it's now at DMG95 Delay 492 with Add Effect: Weakens Def +10. Certainly won't be replacing my Valk Fork anytime soon but I think it's useful enough to use in like Dynamis or Campaign. So the +10 is the activation rate or the % of the effect. Has anyone tested it out?

99% positive its the activation rate (bar resists from mobs end) just like the fey weapons.

yes that was a typo I meant kurodachi, I cant seem to remember the names of those GK right. For high level mobs ( HNM) technically the attack boost on gekko is not specific to hagun, but the high defense/low pDIF will clearly disadvantage Kurodachi more than hagun, by decreasing melee dmg much more than ws damage, to the point that hagun might win. I have no idea of what HNM's def look like ( except Odin), so can't really answer. But for Odin you do not ws each time you have 100TP, because the chalenge is not kill it in time but survive its AOEs, so hagun is your best choice still..
