Under virtually identical circumstances I was doing 56k damage per fight with Ragna 95 and 40k with Apoc. Other DDs stayed constant so there wasn't major fluctuation in COR rolls/temps. In fact Apoc got the better of the deal as I didn't souleater with Ragna but did with Apoc and Souleater is a huge boost to Resolution.

Ragna is ridiculous. Well it's more Resolution than Ragna.

Vere and Ukon are stupid good, even the 90Versions and a good player can shit on Apoc or tie it. Rag...will be next project, give it some time to see if Reso gets dicked on.

How good Apoc fares is heavily dependent on what you're fighting and how buffed to shit you are. Generally speaking for VW then I'll win most parses although there isn't any 95/99 Empy's floating around our LS (there is a 99 Glanz though). That could be just that I play far more aggressively than the rest of our DD's or that buffs generally favor me. I actually worked out what each weapon was doing per Qilin fight earlier today. Here's what the results worked out at.

Ragna 95 - 56006
Apoc 95 - 40642
Brav 95 - 39476
Ukon 85 - 37229
Masa 90 - 35206
Glanz 99 - 31237

I don't think the Glanz can be taken seriously as his WS frequency was only half of what everyone elses is so he may have been pre-occupied. If you double his WS damage then it goes up to 40237. This is averages over 7 combined fights.

Shit is going to vary from mob to mob and even with the same mob. Being able to DRK/WAR on stuff like Qilin and just plow through it helps a ton whereas in non-VW content, you obviously won't be able to do that with like Ragna. The disturbing thing is my damage didn't take a hit whatsoever when I went from RCB to no food and fights were never long enough for LR/Berserk/Stalwarts/Endark/etc to wear.

Even though Ragna obviously stomps Apoc, I'd still do Apoc to 99 before Ragna without a second thought.

The huge advantage DRK has in VW is the ability to /war and stay haste capped, the extra atk/da really helps.

Yeah, I find it absolutely staggering that a lot of people still view DRK as poor DD. Well I guess it isn't really considering how the majority of the playerbase think. Even a DRK with cobbled together gear using a Hoarfrost Blade is going to be a very respectable DD in VW due to how much the odds are stacked in our favor. And yet any PUG I go to they will always stick me in the buffless party or ask me to change to WAR or COR or BLM or some shit whilst absolutely bumming the gimpy Ukons and Veres who invariably parse badly due to the players controlling them.
