I worked on my Koruri Attack+5 in sky for a little while just now. For the record, I am completely new to this testing thing, so any advice is appreciated.
EDIT: Tested a bit longer, see results two posts down.
These are obviously very rough results, but they look to be about equally strong so far. I think even with the small sample size error Mozu is a little bit ahead.
It's weird because your crit percent is slightly higher with Mozu.
For melee damage comparisons, I look at [total dmg] / [hits scored] = [Avg dmg per hit]
(Doing this because the total damage on each parse is different)
(I'm ignoring accuracy but both weapons should have similar acc anyways)
(Offhand is included, so it might influence the results if, for example, you missed a lot with main hand on first parse and then missed a lot with off-hand on second part - though it's probably unlikely).
Senji:
Melee dmg: 27962
Hits scored: 546
Dmg/hit:51.2
Mozu:
Melee dmg: 27279
Hits scored: 498
Dmg/hit: 54.7
On your parse, hits with Mozu are 6.3% harder.
Ws dmg:
Senji:494
Mozu:557
On your parse, WS with Mozu are 11.3% stronger.
Ws and Melee parts of total damage:
Mozu: 68 % melee / 32 % WS
(6.3*68/100) + (11.3*32/100) = 7.8%
On your parse Mozu seems to be a 7.8% increase in total damage.
Would be interesting to know your subjob and if you used JAs like berserk, warcry etc...
That's just the way I understand it. I'm not a maths pro, so this might be wrong![]()
I was /DNC. I use TP to Samba and Cure as needed. I also kept Yonin up constantly, I think that equals out over time though.
I tested a bit longer.
Senj/Koruri

This time Senj rightfully has more crit rate. However, I think Mozu is noticeably better. It's definately worth getting IMO.Code:Total # Fights Total Fights Length 27 52:14 Melee Damage Player Melee Dmg Melee % Hit/Miss M.Acc % M.Low/Hi M.Avg #Crit C.Low/Hi C.Avg Crit% Kincard 73316 68.34 % 1367/75 94.80 % 32/78 49.22 141 63/127 92.04 10.31 % Weaponskill Damage Player WSkill Dmg WSkill % Hit/Miss WS.Acc % WS.Low/Hi WS.Avg Kincard 33705 31.42 % 63/0 100.00 % 307/806 535.00 - Blade: Jin 33705 100.00 % 63/0 100.00 % 307/806 535.00 Damage Per Second Player Melee DPS Ranged DPS WS DPS Magic DPS Other DPS Total DPS Kincard 23.90 0.00 10.99 0.00 0.08 34.98
oh my god lol
oh my god I made a typo and said solo instead of lowman LOLOLOLOLOL
And I said that many man hours because you said a party. omg you said party and not duo LOLOLOLOLOL
For three versions of a 6-hit weapon:
This assumes 95% acc, no extra DA and no Zanshin.Code:Hit Distribution (1,2,3) Avg. Atk Rounds to WS Avg. Attacks to WS ----------------------------------------------------------------------- (30,50,20) 3.07 5.54 (60,40,0) 3.96 5.27 (100,0,0) 5.26 5
When comparing multi-hit weapons, it seems some people may not be taking into account the overflow hits that occur during the TP phase (part after the decimal in the last column.)
need to factor in brutal on the latter 2 weapons, and avg attacks to ws is pretty irrelevant unless you know how much damage it'll add to gekko as the model i used already accounts for the melee damage
epic tryhard, im done lol
So, I'm not sure if this has already been posted, but friend completed a Lightning Affinity: Magic Damage +3 / MAcc+1 staff and reports 20% Staff bonus.
Is that really gonna replace HQ staves though?
I assume it's not a hidden effect like it is on elemental staves, and the "Magic Damage +3" thing is the stat that's increasing damage by 20%, which means that this only has 1/30th the effect on magic accuracy a HQ staff does.
