I am coming up to the last 2 stages of my Mozu, which is killing a vnm a few times.
Is this something I can just wander around a zone waiting for people to join.
or 'am I going to need to join an Ls capable of fighting these?

I got lucky and caught a group of JP's doing it, did the Scorp one with 4 NIN's + 1 WAR + 1WHM since it's apparently part of a WAR trial also. Haven't had the same luck with Capricornus but pretty much try and solo some T1's in the zone with a comment set and see if you get lucky.
They said it during the Vana'fest. They put up a subbed video of the on the VanaFest 2010 site.
They also said WHM's Afflatus abilities will remain WHM onry.
Now then, about them Magic Damage +3 staves...
What they said was they were "thinking of raising it from C to A." It got raised to B+. You seem to think this is a major issue with credibility, but this is common way for humans to talk and discuss plans that are tentative.
If you think being tentative equates to 'your statements and actions don't match' then good luck with that.
Okay for the Pet: weapons, is it feasable to do them in a group or does it have to be one of the player's pets that deal the finishing blow (since apparently fellows count).
IE is a group of summoners going for the same Pet: MAB staff going to only have to kill 150 ghosts or 150 x number of summoners?
Firstly, that's not another example. I was responding to something that was specific and related to someone hearing what they wanted to hear and then claiming the other person in effect lied.
Secondly, as for Blu, I can't answer to something that vague. "Early" videos meaning something that was out like years ago? What spells and what did they say in commentary on the video?
Did they show a vid with a Blu in it and say: here is a scene of some of the spells we promise we will give to all blu mages, or was it presented as a vid simply showing a blu doing random spells.
When they showed the vid of a guy killing a colibri and leveling up (to 76), did you think they meant we would level up every time we killed 1 mob?
When they showed the large dragon HNM fighting 1 pld, did you think they were saying a pld could solo it?
When they showed someone turning in an excal to get an augment upgrade (but didn't show the 1500 mobs he had to kill first), did you think they lied about having to fight the mobs and deceived us to thinking we only had to hand a relic to the moogle to get the upgrade?
I suppose they figured giving blu an aoe slow stronger than a rdm's slow was just too powerful.
I think I recall that. Was it not in like the very first time they were presenting the job?
If it was later, at a conference where they said: We are going to give Blu's spider web, then I completely agree.
But if at the very first time? Really? People saw the vid and assumed SE was giving them a specific list of spells they were promising to include on the job?
I guess now we should be pissed if we don't have pld solo HNMs, us leveling up in one mob and people getting relics upgraded just by talking to the moogle. They didn't say it, but....
...it was in the vid.
It's an example of them showing things one way prerelease and having them another way when it's released.
You're thinking of one video, when they first announced the job, where the blu magic casting animation wasn't even finished yet.
I'm talking about another, which they released just before ToAU came out, of a BLU soloing flans, and casting Spider Web and (iirc) Dream Flower with the finalized blu magic animation.
Whether SE follows through on their word is difficult to gauge. For example, until the last update, we could argue that SE did not follow through on their plans to give SMN new avatar. The other issue is whether SE's opinion will match that of the playerbase. For example, some people argue that SE's promise to give WAR a tanking ability (Retaliation) fell short of the described promise because blood tanking with counters does not help WAR tank any better. Consequently, the degree to which an individual finds SE credible will depend on how closely aligned one's views are to SE's views on game mechanics. Delay is another important factor since technically, SE is lying up until the moment they implement a feature. Of course, you could always argue that they're not lying unless they specify a date, but we've seen examples of SE setting dates for the implementation of events and then not follow through.
A SMN wears a Scythe in an early WOTG trailer.
SE is a bunch of liars.
You're a trip.
Let me be blunt:
SE thinks we have a clue about how presentations are done, what tentative plans are and how game development works. They think we understand that vids are meant for entertainment and often done WELL BEFORE the game designers are DONE and are not meant to be taken literally unless people say to you it's literal.
They obviously might be wrong in that assumption.
So yes, I finally do agree. If you are unable to discern the difference between concrete statements, entertainment and tentative plans, then don't believe it until you see it.
Again, I say, good luck with that.
Heh...?
There's a difference between discussion (we want to ___, we are thinking of ___) and update notes (this is what we did ___, this is what you get ___).
The update notes say Puppetmaster is B+.
Were there update notes that said Blu got the spell Spider web?
I think we agree. If the update notes said one thing and we got another, then that's bad.
Everything else is what you said: "we want to ___, we are thinking of ___" which people hear as "this is what you get ___"
